I wonder, how will you enjoy the next ME game without fem shep? I am hating the fact they won't continue with Shep and the crew in the new game and probably won't be buying it.

Yeah, I'd like to be able to romance Tali for example but Meets voice work just does not work for me. I agree with those that say Hale just adds alot of personality to the character. As an example look at the the speech Shepard delivers when she first gets control of the Normandy in ME1, it's an incredible and passionate scene; whereas Meer felt wooden to me. And I definitely didn't f*ck yeah vibes as much.

Got to say that there was a clip I watched from Mass Effect with a renegade male Shepard and Miranda where I thought his voice work was pretty solid. Maybe I just need to give him more of a chance? I really want that Tali romance someday.....

ME3's MShep is noticeably improved over the first two games, in my opinion. ME1's is definitely the most wooden, though playing more renegade does have the [perhaps] unintended upshot of him sounding totally deadpan as he trolls everyone, which is pretty entertaining.

Crap, that scene I mentioned between Male Shepard and Miranda was from ME2.

But, yeah, I will give him a shot some day.

Just be sure to do a custom Shep. The default Sheploo has some really bizarre facial animations for both the Tali and Miranda romances.

femShep all the way. No war. FemShep sounded like she smoked, and what's wrong with that? People used to smoke and still do. I know it's politically incorrect and only bad guys smoke these days. That's why only The Illusive Man and Batarians smoke. Heroes don't smoke. Heroes have straight teeth and are idealists.

Bah! I loved Hale's performance. If the game offers a female version, I'll play her.

Prefer femshep as Hale seems to throw more personality into the character. But Meer does a good job as well, just his Shepard seems wooden.

I never really got the impression from the voice that femShep sounded like she smoked, not that it matters though. Maybe I'm just not tobacco savvy enough to tell the difference. In any case, I set so many enemies on fire with incendiary ammo and the firestorm heavy weapon in ME2 that my femShep might as well have.

Jinx1720 wrote.... Meer sounds more like a soldier who is emotionally detached from what happens around him, which is fine and suits the character well. It's just not what I want to listen to fo 60 h or more. Hale actually gives Shepard some emotions and a sense of being involved, which makes femshep more interesting to play, at least for me.

I love Femshep.

Although both great VAs, I much preferred Hale's performance across the trilogy. Meer's Shepard sounded too wooden to me. I know that was intentional, and the reasoning behind it, but with all that happens across the three games, I prefer something less flat.
