 From xBox Magazine this morning.

If you were holding out for a surprise Mass Effect reveal before the New Year - you flaming nutter - it's time to pop those expectations in the airlock. BioWare's general manager Aaryn Flynn has Tweeted that there will be "more info sometime in 2014 I hope", adding "that's the most specific I can be".The air of uncertainty isn't reassuring - could BioWare be too busy with its new IP, Dragon Age: Inquisition and that unannounced Star Wars project to commit to a Mass Effect release before 2015? On the other hand, the developer recently teased a bunch of in-game images, so perhaps there's light at the end of the tunnel.Image IPBIt's strongly suspected that the new Mass Effect is a prequel, which perhaps explores the origins of the game's non-human races. Here are seven possible starting points in the Mass Effect chronology. You may also be interested in BioWare's thoughts on possible Mass Effect spin-offs and the races and characters who never made it into the games.

Well... that was to be expected... Right now I think ME "4" will be released in late 2015, even beginning of 2016 seems probable.

Lots of waiting for us to do guys... (and gals)...

But it all can be for the best, let BioWare polish the next game before they start explaning themselfs with lack of time/funds/disc space ect.

Articles like this are why I no longer bother reading most gaming press, they took what little information has been released and added what feels like personal opinion to make an article about something. The game is still in development and the only thing BioWare has really said is they are working on it, but because there wasn't a concrete date of BioWare telling all about the next game they are taking on too much work and it has "an air of uncertainty that isn't reassuring".

Let's hope 2015 means PC/PS4/XBone only.

It better not be a prequel.

If ME3 was a mistake, then BioWare should have owed up to it by now. Alas, the reality is not such.

Isn't the better question (at Arcian) "haven't you learned that people have different opinions?"

Also, MP. I started off as a SP stalwart, and now only play the MP. It's much better than the SP in ME3.

^ This.  BioWare has a lot of great stuff going on right now--for one, Dragon Age Inquisition looks so good it's tough to describe.  And the N7 Day coverage was enough for me to dust off my copy of Mass Effect and load up another Shepard from scratch.  We may have to have waited a long time--it'll be over two and a half years between titles when DAI hits--but my enthusiasm for BioWare's future games has never been greater, and I can't imagine that I'm alone.

I'm staying far away.  Mass Effect will never be the series it used to be.  Not unless people like the CD Projekt Red team took over and EA was no longer publishing.  Fat chance though.

Mass Effect 3 came out almost two years ago.

It is time for you to let go.

Warning noted, and ignored. Put some faith into the fellow BSNers to know what they'll spend their future money on. There are people interested in what comes next for ME. You're not? Fine, but why try to 'warn' others to stay away from what they obviously like enough to want to read info about a next installment?

Curious, I must say. I'm hoping it will come out on PS3 (for those that can't afford a bloody PS4) because it's what I'm used to playing atm until I can afford something better.
