A flagship 30% larger than an Alliance Dreadnought equipped with a massive Mass Driver, Ultra-Violent Laser Turrets for Defence, a fighter bay capable of holding dozens of fighters, bombers, or interceptors, and a processing system capable of coping with billions or even trillions of Geth programs.

Damn fine marvel of engineering, an unparalleled war winner even.

Anyone else wish we could have saved it?

Coulda, shoulda, woulda. That ship was a lost cause the second the Geth gave the keys to the Reapers. Gerrel was right to destroy it when the opportunity presented itself.

It was only as power as a Prothean dreadnought. While yes, it would have been nice to not blow it up it really wouldn't make that big a difference.

Still it would have made an invaluable addition to the Allied Fleet maybe with a multi-species crew in charge(with Humans as commanding officers).

Though I wonder how the Quarians could have secured the vessel right after Shep severed the local connection, their strike teams are next to useless without massive support from their armada.

Perhaps while we were aboard we could have been tasked to disable it itstead of let it be destroyed

I would have blown it up AFTER I escaped it. I wish I could have done worse to Garrel like put a few bullets from my Javelin into his mask and see how long he lives even if Tali didn't like it...

While having the Geth Dreadnought intact, and on my side in the final battle would have been awesome, it wouldn't have mattered.

I mean the Desinty Assencion could show up (or not) and the ending plays out exactly the same.

Now if the Battle for Earth acctually incorporated all of my Assets in to a massive Suicide Mission 2.0, and I could watch as the Geth Dreadnought completly guts a Reaper, then hell yes I would have wanted to save it.

Yeah, I wish we could have kept it.

It's definitely more useful than the Quarian Heavy Fleet, that's for sure.

And if the Geth built more like it...

That would have been a great choice, go the extra mile to try to disable it for capture or play it safe and have the Quarians destroy it once you escape. I think the main issue most people had with it was Han'Gerrel didn't even wait for you to get off the ship before he started firing. It's not necessarily  a bad idea he was just a dick about it.

Get the ship, wipe out the software and insert our own. I have to agree I always wanted to be able to get that dreadnought.

Yeah.

The Quarians' attack on it is like assaulting the Yamato with Tacoma-class frigates.

It already has a crew. It also has no life support systems for organics or CIC meant for organic use. Everyone on board would need to be in hardsuits on a permanent basis.

Oddly it had terminals where you could view its sensor readouts. That seems... pointless.

True but sealing compartments with bulkheads+hatches and then establishing life support within those compartments would have fixed the problem.

I bet the Quarians are masters at this.

Sort of like the Geth fighters requiring a humanoid platform to pilot them. :pinched:

Right down there with "thanix missiles" if you ask me.

Without those Shepard and Tali couldn't advance the plot.

The biggest problem seems to me (aside from lack of integrated life support or organic-friendly command-and-control interfaces) to be that you still have God-only-knows how many hostile, active Geth platforms still on board. They'd have to be cleared out or otherwise neutralized before any effort could go towards repurposing the ship for organic use.

Initially yes I thought it could've been an decent asset, but that I figured it likely would have been as relevant as the Destiny Ascension in the final fight, so whatever.

Venting only works when something is pressurized.

Hmm maybe a joint operation with the Normandy's shock team, a detachment of Migrant Fleet Marines led by Kal'Reegar, and some allied Special Forces Units like Blackwatch or something.

Well really there's not much reason for it to have walkways, airlocks, or even lights. The same thing could be said about the borg cubes. Heck they shouldn't even have a hospitable atmosphere like we see in the series.
