No actually. Shepard's life is worth the Quarians lives actually. I wouldn't argue he was worth humanity (He can only reach the Catalyst beam thanks to them being meatshields for the most part well that and Harbinger herping and derping), The Asari (he only gets the Catalyst thanks to their support even if they were lousy and roundabout about it) or the Salarians (no cure no turian/human alliance and Shepard is ****ed). (same with the Krogan).

The Quarians and Geth are the only two species that can be completely cancelled out by one another. Even the Krogan needed to be used long enough for Palevan to be abandoned (if Wrex is leader when you sabotage the cure).

Ya brah i'm super pissed.

No actually you're correct, Shepard being the Galaxy's only hope and all. Just wondering if you believe that about all races.

No re my edit.

Just the Geth and the Quarians. Every other species  all the other species in the forefront either buys you time for the Crucible, gives you resources for Earth which helps with the Catalyst or helps you forge alliances with the other species.

By the time the Quarians/Geth get on board the Crucible's pretty much almost done. You just go to the Asari planet get pwn'd go to Sanctuary deal with that mess then the Crucible's built and it's time to kick TIM in the daddybags. The Catalyst is the thing that's missing and they don't help with that.

You pretty much forge geth/quarian alliance by letting one side kill the other or telling the Quarians to just stop (god I love renegade peace. Yes Gerrel I will sit there and watch avidly while the Geth blow your ships out of the sky with snacks.) It just heightens how unnecessary and time wasting  the damn Geth/Quarian war was from the damn beginning.

Edit: It is indeed why I dislike Rannoch so much. And in my game they get a planet sized Darwin Award for it.

I don't even know anymore...

Whoever wrote the Rannoch stuff, quarian/geth, obviously didn't put half the amount of time or effort the people here on BSN have.

Not all of them. The Hanar,Vorcha,Drell,Batarians,Elcor, and Volus are all expendable compared to Shepard.

Very true I tend to forget about them because they're just background assets (which was ridculous I wanted to see Elcor tanks!)

I almost feel bad for the Batarians though. They get pwn'd so hard. They'll probably never recover.

Yeah seriously, and they had nobody to turn to which really sucks, but contribute their fleet anyway(if you make the right desicion).

I would like to learn more about the Batarians, if ME4 is a sequel they should potray them as something more than just terrorists and slavers, maybe even visit Khar'Shan after the original Hegemony was wiped out from the invasion and there is a new government.

Yeah the elcor on the Citadel always bums me out :( the way he says "not enough" and you can hear how sad he is T_T

That would be nice to see. Batarians without the Hedgemony's jerkoffness would be a nice start.

Had it coming. Karma for being a race of slavers and generally unsavory characters.

It's not the average Batarian's fault their government is oppressive. The slavers and mercs were the only ones who were even allowed to leave their home system, that's why they have that reputation.

It would have been interesting to explore their rather...strained relationship with humanity.

Especially since another intriguing situation, the antagonism between the Turians and humanity faded after ME1.

So true, the entire Rannoch mission was just a mission for more war assets between two races that aren't really needed in the grand scheme of things. Like the rest of the galaxy cares if the Quarians die for Rannoch. Everyone was already used to the Geth living there anyway. And the Geth were just a scapegoat for the Council whenever they needed one.  What ticks me off the most with the Quarians was the fact that the Geth were already prepared to fight the Reapers ahead of time, even had that lovely dreadnought. What a waste.

I agree. I would have loved an antagonistic Batarian squadmate but I have no real love for the race.

We're not talking one person or a dozen - slavery is part of their culture. Their hate for humanity isn't, but that's not a point in their favor, either.

Would be interesting if he was at least somewhat reasonable. He'd be needed to defy the stereotypes rather than reinforce them, imo.

Exactly it's a completely unnecessary waste of resources and time.  My poor Shep was spitting hot coals when they first told him they started a fight and that only worsened with Legion's "siding with the Reapers would've been unnecessary if the Creators hadn't attacked." and after Gerrell's stunt he's lucky my  Shepard didn't toss his ass out an airlock.

*huggles Legion close*

FIEND! VILLIAN!

Still wub you though.

Though yeah Geth VI is a douchecanoe I'd shot that bastard too.  Does he still intentionally powers off the dreadnaught or was it an accident with him? I know Legion does it on purpose.

Someone's gotta keep Machiavelli from turning in his grave :P

Like BioWare could be bothered to come up with actual different scenarios.

Though he came off more as self serving than Legion in that scene, perhaps shaded by a bit of bias...

Oh yeah forgot about that.

Well does he still do that you can deem any restraints necessary bit?

Self serving though. Did he just want to be out or something? I only did fake Legion once and I felt dirty. I couldn't do it for very long. (Just had Legion die on the SM). I had to edit once he said his "I am not Legion." I just edited my save back.

Oh I know that feeling, I once had an Ashley romancer, a Tali romancer once, and worst of all a paragon

I can't really remember the differences, because there are three versions of the scene, Legion, Legion dead, Geth VI, and I imagine there is some variance depending on whether his LM was finished.  Its been a long time since I played ME3 and longer since I played without Geth VI so I'd hve to look up the specific differences, and right now I'm 'studying'

Eww Ashleymance. I did one so I could dump her for Miranda. So not worth it. All I got was one catty comment before shooting her in the stomach and the only way to get said catty comment was to act like I wanted to get back with her. Nope. Nope. Nope. Well least I got the "so that's it then?" pout for Shep dumping her ass like a hot potato even if he was far nicer than he should've been about it.

LOL I know how 'studying' is :P hope you get a good grade! And huh they bothered putting in a difference for dead Legion and sold legion. Surprising considering all you get is that crappy Geth Assassin in Cerberus.
