Probably more were being constructed at some Geth shipyard somewhere.AresKeith wrote...

Something else to bear in mind; there's more than one way to scuttle a ship, and any organics boarding it would know less about its systems than the geth on board. They already wipe their own memory cores when destroyed to keep their tech out of enemy hands. What's to stop them from blowing it up themselves to deny their enemy an asset?General TSAR wrote...
Venting only works when something is pressurized.Hmm maybe a joint operation with the Normandy's shock team, a detachment of Migrant Fleet Marines led by Kal'Reegar, and some allied Special Forces Units like Blackwatch or something.DeinonSlayer wrote...
The biggest problem seems to me (aside from lack of integrated life support or organic-friendly command-and-control interfaces) to be that you still have God-only-knows how many hostile, active Geth platforms still on board. They'd have to be cleared out or otherwise neutralized before any effort could go towards repurposing the ship for organic use.
I'd say repurposing it for organic use is out of the question.

Only if that could be accomplished before the Geth on board repaired whatever Legion did and started tearing through the Flotilla again.Steelcan wrote...
what if the geth were made subservient to the quarians once again....
I hate to be a killjoy - that ship would be useful, it really would - but there's just no way.

Lol, how do you figure there was carpeting? Did Shepard reach down to feel how luxurious it was?

then the quarians use geth ships as they're much better and are designed for organics to use.

It was blue IIRC. Why would the geth go to the trouble of painting the floor blue? Besides it looked like it had carpet texture.

Any attempt at highjacking that ship would have resulted in a massive failure once the Rannoch reaper regained control of the Geth. As others have said, it would have been a valuable asset, but there was no conceivable way to save the ship and win the war on Rannoch.
The Rannoch Reaper? This would have solved the problem. Simple and effective.

I thought the Geth had a *lot* more than one myself. At least that was the impression the codex gave when you read it about Haestrom (as I remember), and why just *one* in any case? Did they just forget the whole "don't put all your eggs in one basket" or there was never any such incident in all of history for them to draw any parallel on to avoid something so stupid?

Who cares what they look like so long as they're functional?Necanor wrote...
Geth ships and vehicles probably have the ugliest possible design in the galaxy, they look like giant metallic cicadas. And knowing that a Capital Reaper can tear apart any dreadnought with ease, I don't think it's necessary.

I don't see why the aesthetic of the ship matters. If it was possible to make it a powerful asset, then what difference does it make what it looks like? If any dreadnought can be torn apart by a capital class reaper with ease, then there's no harm in simply having more dreadnoughts. You can never have too many.
Anyway, most of the ships in the MEU aren't really lookers. The only truly good looking ship is the one Shepard is commanding.

They had other dreadnoughts obviously. This one was their spiffy new flagship. I'm sure all future dreadnoughts would be based on this model.

Style is half the battle. Unless you're planning to make the Reapers laugh themselves to death.

True, most ships in the ME universe look terrible. Although I like the Turian designs a lot.

That still makes way more sense than the reason we got in ME3.

The ship just needed to be pimped out. Put some rims on it, some lights, custom paint job, new sound system, of course life support.
