In the game informer interview, Mike Laidlaw said cameos are bound to happened and I was wondering what cameos are more than likely gonna be in the game and what cameos do you want in the game?

Presumably the warden and hawke, after those anyone from the previous games except Loghain.Since\\ I always kill Loghain he shouldn't reappear unless there's another retcon.

Not any hopefully. Cameos for the sake of Cameos would be terrible IMHO. The video I sw about the keep seemed to point to the Warden and Hawke maybe not being involved at all Thank God.

If they have some tie to the story then fine, but I just don't want to be running into people who have no purpose in what I'm doing who just show up.

What are they going to say or do?  So this randon suit of armor walks up with a helmet on.

PC: You were Viscount what reason did you have to leave Kirkwall and disappear.
Hawke: crickets....

PC: Why did you leave your people in Ferelden and disappear?

etc, etc

I just think it'll be terrible.  People will have more questions for them then Bioware can possibly make variables for in the game.

There's going to be quite a bit of cameos in the game from things the devs have been saying, lets just hope they have a reason to be in the game and not show up for no reason.

Also if the warden and hawke show up it will be more than a cameo and yes I know they ruled out a character creator inside of the keep since it's not designed for that and the engine is new so we can't get them exactly how they looked in the previous games.

But that doesn't mean there won't be a character generator in the game itself, since again Gaider has said numerous times that they might physically show up as npc's whose physical appearance that ideally we have control over, nor does that mean they might or might not be in the game.

People are sort of jumping the gun on this, and I get that it's not the most popular decision in the world but there's not much we can do if they decide to have the warden and hawke in the game besides killing off the wardens but if I can get close to how they looked.

Then I guess that's fine since i've already accepted that they will use them in some way whether or not they show up after going back a few years and reading the things they've said on the matter especially recently since Gaider has been talking about this quite a bit lately.

Given the rift impacts much or  all of Thedas, I would not be surprized by cameos from:

• Monarch of Ferelden - Alistiar or Anora
• Prince of Starkhaven - Sebastian
• Viscount of Kirkwall - if Hawke
• Head of the Grey Wardens - if Warden (or some other Grey Warden charactor  we have met - Stroud, Nathaniel, Oghren etc)

Others that seem possible

• Leliana - given her relationship with the Divine
• Bodhan and Sandal - considering they are moving to Orlais

Some chance

• Aveline if she remains Captain of the Gurad and considering her friendship with Varric
• Zevran if he is doing any assasinating and spying thse days.

Others???

Can hawke be the viscount ? I had assumed hawke has to flee Kirkwall regardless. Same with Aveline.They all have to flee, only Varric remains for Cassandra to interrogate.But I've only played the game twice so maybe I missed something.shrugs.

Loved Lanaya's voice.I would like for her to return in the DAI, and yes her VA is a beautiful young woman.rotfl.

I just think it'll be terrible.  People will have more questions for them then Bioware can possibly make variables for in the game.

Or they show, give juicy and helpful information, give a quest, tell them of their adventures and give you a bad ass weapon and armor. Or maybe even tie into the veil tear. I'm not saying they have to be the main focus but Bioware can't have a cliff hanger and leave it hanging.

 A lot of people have been saying this since that video came out and yeah, I agree. It would be cool to get a character creator for them outside of the keep since it isn't a character creator.

Again, I agree. I would love to see Aveline and Leliana again and I have no doubt we will at least see Leliana a few times give the concept art. Same with Bodhan since he and Sandal are going to be in Orlais.

Don't remember the poster, but essentially you are in an Orlesian City that is under attack by something, not important, on a street corner you see a man in full armor sitting back beer in hand.

No conversation needed, just maybe when prompted he says "Can I help you" or "Not my problem"

perhaps a Ferelden companion can point out who it is

Other than that Alister, maybe Isabella. Maybe the one group of Dalish that may have lived.

A viscount Hawke still winds up leaving Kirkwall/disappearing prior to Varric's interrogation.

In terms of "cameos," as in familiar characters who appear but don't play a major role in the story, I expect that they'll put some effort into trying to organically work them into the story. As opposed to "here's Zevran being chased by some dudes" or "oh, there's Alistair happening to get drunk in this tavern."

As far as who they might be? Well, going beyond cameos and just talking about returning characters period, I'd be shocked if Leliana doesn't play a notable part, as well as Flemeth, and I expect Cullen to at least show up somewhere. I tend to think Sandal and possibly Bodahn will be around.  I would somewhat think it's likely to have Alistair, and would not be shocked if Sten popped up at some point.  Possibly some less obvious ones as well.  Anora, Isabela, Feynriel.

Or I could be completely wrong.

Agents could make nice cameos, and serve a purpose. For instance, if one allies with the wardens, perhaps the agents or contacts are Ohgren, Stroud, the sibling, Alistair, and Nathanial, depending on who survived, was recruited, etc.

If my instincts have the right of anything, we will have a great deal to do with Eluvians, and that could mean the reappearance of Merrill, perhaps in connection with Morrigan. You can refuse Merrill the aid required to fix her Eluvian, so I suppose she would go after Morrigan's if she gets to know of its presence.

Well, DA2 had the Goosegirl Cameo and DA:O had the Cameo Cowl as well as a locket that Morrigan liked.

I guess the last could return, though you didn't have to give it to Morrigan. If the Cowl came back, one would hope it would look a bit better.
