On platinum I mean ofc.
I wouldn't be able to do it against the reapers huh?
I've tried soo many different specc'ed builds with electrical hammer, and it just isn't effective at all against reapers / armoured bosses ..

It's not worth it. Even if someone is spamming snap freeze, you'll kill stuff faster with biotic hammer.
Very upsetting ..

The Biotic Hammer is gonna usually be your go-to, but the EH isn't so bad, either. I like it because it makes him a true Sentinel; not like that Melee-Engineer, masquerading as one!

It works fine against bosses.

I use it. But you shouldn't use it to kill bosses. That's what Biotic Hammer is for. The Electric Hammer has more of an impact radius, can prime fire explosions and is good against shields (I don't use a sidearm, just my Wraith). I mainly use it against anything with shields. If there's a boss with lots of shields, I go in with EH to take the shields down and prime my FE on the boss/whatever is around it, then finish with the BH.
These two points don't mesh together, the problem is that electric hammer is only potent against shields, but deals damage after melee, and his melee normally removes the shields of non-bosses, so on anything that isn't a boss the damage it deals is relatively useless, even when used against shields it doesn't necessarily do more than biotic hammer,
it simply has no viable niche and is utterly dominated by it's competitor
If it dealt it's damage before melee, it would be 100x better, and might be able to compete with biotic hammer in terms of usefulness on tank builds

I once got grabbed through two walls by a Banshee, and then I raged and never used him again.
But when I did.
Biotic hammer bro.

Electric Hammer removes shields from surrounding enemies. It is AoE. Consequently, it strips shields off of multiple targets, as well as detonating any primed ones.
Damaging multiple targets at once, staggering crowds, and detonating multiple explosions adds up to a lot of damage, and compares very well to Biotic Hammer.

This.
The problem is that mooks aren't a problem, his sprinting melee is absolutely lethal, and his default melee hits three targets, while EH can only hit four, if you have tight clustered enemies then it still doesn't do much, unless you have 7/8 enemies on the map hugging each other, in which case you could kill three and remove the shields of four, where as BH hits anything that survives the first blow and kills it, it is theoretically possible to kill five healthy enemies with one hit, but there simply aren't enough crowds of low tier enemies for EH to fulfill it's true potential much above silver
His health regen is at it's most useful when fighting crowds of enemies who cannot immediately gate him, bosses are the only true threat, and EH is underwhelming when used on enemies who take up the entire range of the ability
EH does work, it just doesn't offer the same level of ability as BH because his melee does the same thing on it's own,

It is extremely good at crowd control, and there are plenty of enemies vulnerable to AoE, not just mooks, because detonated explosions work on everything.
And it works very well against bosses, mixed with priming weapons fire.
