Krillin is the strongest human ever, but in this Big Universe he's not good enough... and at least he tries. Yamucha turned to a real loser in DBZ.

There's also a special hate in my heart for characters you werent actually romancing that try to force awkward sex on you at the end of RPGs. Especially if my character was romancing someone else. ie:

Morrigan (Only sex can save me? Seriously? Worst pickup line ever.)
Elanee (Creepy stalker who watched you since childhood? Restraining order please.)
Visas Marr (I only talked to you once! And we didnt even make eye contact!)

Tidus from FFX. Dude what a little b****. A sorry excuse for a protagonist. Auron should have been the protagonist of FFX, very easily one of the best characters ever written IMO.

Auron completely made that game. If I replay the HD remake coming out, its purely because of him.

FFXII had the same problem but moreso. Everyone in your group felt like they should have been the main character except the one that was. Balthier, Ashe and Basch all were great leads but weren't. Panelo was the only one on the team who Vaan felt more like a lead over. (True story: Basch really was originally the lead)

Wholeheartedly agreed.

True. IIRC a dev said that they created Vaan because they felt that the the younger audience wouldn't relate to or be interested in an older character, while their last game that featured one didn't sell as many copies as they wanted. (cultural youth obsession)

I'm more on the meh side of the fence with characters i don't care for.


Never really cared that much for Zevran or Isabela I guess.  They were both funny, but I never got that into them.  I also got sick of Anders before he went off the deep end.  But given his character arch, that might have been somewhat intetional. 

Depending on the writer, Batman and Wolverine..

After reading several walkthrough guides to see how to max with Brianna and mostly ignoring Visas, she´s still the one Traya mentions in the epilogue. WTF did I do wrong?

On topic:

Kid from ME3: guess we were suppossed to mourn him. Didn´t care much at the beginning (Colonist Sole Survivor - been through much worse than a quick death), then he started appearing in boring dream sequences.

Starbrat: so this is likely the greatest murderer in fiction. And it´s presented as some superior being we must listen to and obey.

Triss Merigold: really hated her by the end of the book saga. And suddenly she replaces Geralt´s actual LI.

Kai Leng: likely intended as a "love to hate" character, resulted in just hated.
