Characters you're not supposed to hate (but you do)

Then again, I could probably fill a list with the majority of that games cast alone.

Mass Effect:
ME1 Liara and then ME2 on Tali much much more. That particular line of pandering wasn't good in the first game and it wasn't good when they changed a character to keep it going.
Dragon Age:
Merrill. No I did not gigglequee and I certainly did not want to NOM NOM her head.
Tallis. I don't even...
I didn't hate him but I found Varric tiresome.
Others:
For you Playstation owners out there, Rico.

Bastila Shan I would happily kick out the nearest airlock (I'm in the midst of playing KOTOR right now and she's just such a ****). In Skyrim I didn't connect with anyone enough to generate that much emotion.

Superman. Seriously the lamest, most broken, superhero ever.
Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach) mainly just because the writers like to pretend he has grown up so much over the course of the story, but he is really just the exact same person he was when it started.

Hope was the one I hated from that game. I really wish he was the one who died and I got his Mom on the team instead. She was a badarse. "Moms are tough."

Agreed. Tough Ichigo has changed. He gained ALL OF THE POWERS.
But seriously, I can honestly say I hate 99% of all shounen protagonists (Goku, Luffy, Ichigo, Naturo, Seiya, etc..) and FF characters (they are a walking circus. A collection of retards on display).

Duncan - complete and utter douche bag in the female city elf origin. Saves the one he needs abandon Soris without a thought, the one he sent in to rescue the player. ._.
Alistair - Has a very romanticized idea of the Grey Warden and a hero worship of Duncan that he tries to force on the player as well.
Wynne - Nagging old hag that believes others should follow rules she herself try to avoid at every chance she can get.
Eamon - I don't much like his idea that nobility and blood matters much more then experiance and competence. Also have next to no regard for commoners and have the worst wife ever.
Mass effect:
Anderson - Almost from the start of the original Mass effect I always for some reason suspected that Anderson almost tries to live through Shepard and turn her into what he failed to be. It's a tiny bit creepy.

I don't think you were actually suppose to like/love Loki, they just accidently made him the most compelling character in each movie he appeared in and somehow made the movies worth watching for him alone!

Connor (AC3) - Boring as hell and has the personality of a brick.
Corvo (Dishonored) - Same as the above.
Jason Brody (Far Cry 3) - Poor character development that fails the moment you get a gun. All in all, he's pretty much inconsistent: badass one moment, a p*ssy another.
Lara Croft (Tomb Raider remake) - Same as with Jason. I felt it difficult to empathize with her and in the end just didn't care.
House (New Vegas) - Douchebag.
Tiny Tina (Borderlands 2) - Annoying brat *raises flame shield*
Raiden (Metal Gear 2, 4 and Revengeance) - Never liked this guy and his emo personality.
Triss Merigold (Witcher 2) - Imo, her VA did an awful job and overall I never found her interesting as a character.
All GTA protagonists.
Elizabeth (BioShock Infinite) - Booker, catch!
Alyx Vance (Half Life 2) - Captain obvious and poor comedic relief.

I'd only agree that her "Zombine" joke is Superbad.Alyx Vance (Half Life 2) - Captain obvious and poor comedic relief.
Final Fantasy has grown a slight reputation of writing overly-happy annoying female characters. One pinkie pie is enough, I think.Vanille from FF13. Girl needs to settle on an accent already.
I think the audience was meant to dislike her, somewhat for the reasons above, and sonic already considers her an overly attached girlfriend.Amy Rose
Some are awesome, some are OK, but some will definitely get on your nerves.*edit* actually, now that I think about it, the closest I come to hate is pretty much all things Pokemon. Man, I can't stand that crap. But, alas, my kids love it.

I didn't name House and only described Tina but both I dislike.
