Goku: Idiotic; Represents everything that a hero shouldn't (fights for the thrill and not the necessity); TERRIBLE father and husband; only saves the world after he indirectly or directly puts it in danger; did I mention idiotic?
In the Buu saga, he could have stopped Buu before he got so powerful but he wanted the kids to have a shot.....
Characters you're not supposed to hate (but you do)

I guess when you put it that way you're right. Not exactly a convincing defense for such stupidity though. Close to the end of DBZ I couldn't even stand him anymore.

Eh, I wasn't exactly trying to convince you or anything. I know all too well that Goku is an idiot, more so depending on how you're approaching the series. I can't really agree with your other gripes against him.MegaSovereign wrote...

So you're a rich, boorish, homicidal, criminal but you need to cry sometimes? Cry me a river then drown yourself in it.
Runner up: Spongebob.
Movies: Whoever the guy's name is that Goseling played in 'Drive'.
The movie was lame and he was the lamest part of it. Listen to your feelings. You know it is true.
Runner up: The Bride (Kill Bill)
Comics: Wolverine
He's an immortal, practically unkillable living weapon, whose had a tough time or two. You know between jumping in the sack with most of the best looking women in the Marvel Uni. Woah is me.
Runner Up: The whole Green Lantern Corps.
Novels: Katniss Everdeen
Firstly, in case you're reading this: I don't mean you Jennifer. You're awesome. Call me. As far as the character, well it turned out even though he was a jerk that got what was coming to him, President Snow was right: Katniss was just looking out for Katniss.
Runner Up: Ender Wiggin
Games: Fenris
Jeez, pull the stick out you hypocrite. 'Magic is the devil so I'll kill you with magic'. Jerk.
Runner Up: Cullen.*
*Aaack teh flames! They burn! But he's boring! So very very boring!

He's the put-offably stiff one of the group, a lot of us are supposed to hate him?(Mako)Here we go...
What makes you say that?Runner up: The Bride (Kill Bill)
Pinkie Pie is the worst for me, but Twi does make for a very strong runner-up.Twilight Sparkle
As much as I love God of War, most of that had to do with Combat/Atmosphere/Etc. Kratos as a character is a manipulative butthead with a dead wife trope attached. Most of the baggage he's carrying was due to his own actions, and not as a victim of someone else's.Kratos: everything that has ever happened to him is his fault. He should be mad at himself, not his religion.
A few bits were funny, but Ashley Burch's acting/writing felt contrived for the most part.Tiny Tina- Borderlands 2

Me too!
Although that is partly because since they changed the look of batman people assume I dressed up as batman to eg: go swimming, get married etc., when this is just how I have always looked and dressed.

Egwene al'Vere - she's the only character Robert Jordan (R.I.P.) didn't take to task with her behavior, sexism and hypocrisy. Nynaeve and Rand were confronted about their behavior and their character's developed from it, but Egwene's ignored while she's treated as the next best thing since slice bread after being raised to the seat of Amyrilin. It doesn't help either when the majority of Tar Valon's Aes Sedai were mentally reduced to mean girling 13 year olds.
Then there's her arrogance too. Especially towards Rand, Nynaeve, Gawyn or anyone who doesn't bend over for her. Plus from her pov it's like she believes she's outside the pattern.
