You know, I wish you could do this in DA:I. Just because it would create some funny party banter. Think of the confusion, the fights and anger they would have when they realize you have gone trough nearly everyone in the party. Hilarious.

If there was any "hatred" for Leliana, it's because those players are atheists with some kind of illogical grudge against all religion. Leliana was a good person. On the opposite end of the spectrum, everything I read about Sebastian on the wiki leads me to believe that he must be a vile and evil character. I'm glad I didn't download the DLC, because I don't want my adorable little sister Bethany fawning over him. That mage-hating fool doesn't deserve it.
1 that's an ill considered blanket statement made mostly of bulls**t. There are many reasons Leliana could have been disliked. Her believing in the maker didn't bother me at all. Her being constantly disengenuous with the warden did. Same with her nigh Bi-Polar personality changes between lay sister and bard(sometimes in the same conversation) even if you convince her to go light side after her marjolane confrontation she happily runs around slitting throats with you. Well written character, but easy to dislike for a very diverse number of reasons.

Don't get me wrong, Tali was someone who joined Shepard in the second part of the game in ME2 / ME3 but she has a lot of content.
& yes, DA needs a Master Troller..on the level of Javik...

I was actually waiting for Sebby to shoot Anders on his own to tell you the truth. That would have been perfect and fitting.
That would definitely have been interesting, and shown how much control you had over everything. Sure I'd be pissed that I could do nothing about it, but I felt the same way when not helping Anders set up for the explosion, was the same thing, unpreventable.
Maybe they could have added a variable too, like, not bringing Sebastian into your party to begin with, if you wanted Anders to survive as well. Still, I hope with Anders death, Vengeance hasn't exactly kicked the bucket and discovered another host.

I wish there was a way that I could easily make him a rival without making like the rest of my party despise me too.

Just read his approval page on the Dragon Age wiki. It's surprisingly easy to manipulte the system... you get +20 rivalry bonuses like candy in Act 2, often for simple things like accepting the Night Terrors quest and saying you won't make Feynriel tranquil (you can do whatever you want during the quest, however). You were going to have Bartrand killed anyway, right? Just take Sebastian with you when you do it. Etc... just read that guide. You can be finished with that nonsense pretty quickly and then you're free to travel with whoever you want.Gregolian wrote...
I always felt Sebastian was a bit of an ass but not in the way that say Loghain was. He was an ass because he was naieve and kinda dumb.

Personally, I thought he was a great character, but I never liked him when I was playing a mage... then again, most of the game felt off when I played as a mage.

Will have to do this sometime as I think getting a rivalry, the approval thing for Sebastian, and collecting some stuff are the only achievements I have left in this game.Icy Magebane wrote...

Bartrand I always ended up allowing him to live. The guy was basically an invalid so who cared at that point.

I see... hm... well that's not a huge loss. I often max his rivalry before this quest is even available, and I generally play as a good natured, but somewhat aggressive Hawke. I'm sure you can get it to work without actually compromising your morals or even changing your "dominant personality"... the wiki approval guide works wonders.Gregolian wrote...

I always enjoyed being an excessively sarcastic Hawke.

I liked the character but he joined far too late, and I think Bioware made the wrong choice of class for him, rogue archer? Sorry but there is no way IMO that he can compare to the awesome combo that is varric and Bianca.
I think it may have been that choice of class, in order to have you another choice outside of Varric. Personally, I rarely used Varric to be completely honest. Sure he was funny at times, but my fans when it came to rogues will always be with DA:O and Leliana/Zevran.

Well when you're raised a specific way, and then become a man of the cloth with little experience behind him, yeah, you wouldn't be someone very interesting either.

I'd say that's at least A LOT better than "I hate x and/or y"

As it should be, though, I anticipate its return once new informantion unfolds, unfortunately.
