Nobody is 'pro-human.' 'Pro-human' people are generally not interested in science fiction, or really much of anything besides meth and alcohol. Pro-humans are not going to buy and play a game that makes it overwhelmingly clear you play as a character who fights alongside aliens and can even have romantic relationships with them. Pro-human is a delusion. The Mad Hanar wrote...

The answer is very simple. Renegade players hate aliens and synthetics because BioWare told them to.
BioWare made it clear Renegade players are pro human. They obediently obeyed. Simple as that.
So because Bioware allowed players who wanted to be pro-human to be pro-human under the label of being a Renegade player, they forced players to be pro-human or Renegade?
Pro-human exists because BioWare made it exist.

First of all, Dreamgazer, did I ever say all Renegade players? No.
Secondly, I think it would I've been clear I'm talking about canon characters. I've played through Mass Effect as a Renegade. Does that mean I agree with anything Shepard does? Of course not. That's silly.

You are too much, David. Some players sympathize with their race more than others. Some people want to see their race triumph over the other races. "Sci-fi fan" =/= "Card carrying member of alien fan club"

Is this how it is for people? A set of ideals in real life, and a set of ideals on the internet? Are they they really that weak and fragile? Meek and mild in real life. Fervent supporters of genocide and murder as soon as they step online. Nobody sane 'hates' aliens in real life. The idea is laughable. Step online, super-duper pro human cause aliens and robots suck and are evil.

Not just with Mass Effect, of course. No doubt countless people exist who would shriek their lungs out at the idea of more government control and power in real life. And then who go and gleefully support content like Caesar's Legion as soon as they log in, a totalitarian society where the individual exists in complete submission to the state?

I think it's great fun to go on murder sprees in GTA. To see how many pedestrians I can mow down. Why? Because it's a video game and it's fun to mess around.
But if I said I enjoyed it because random pedestrians in real life deserve to die, yes, that would be incredibly childish.

That's nooot what anybody in this thread has said though. Not even close. No pro-human person has even come close to saying anything remotely close to that.
