As for hair...I want dreads. And maybe to be able to dye them.

Rather than the color, I'm also interested in what the Qunari hairstyles will be. I think hair like this would be awesome.

But when some people are fixated on something there is no end to drama.

For the purposes of disscussion, Kossith and Qunari are synonymous. Please don't argue about the name, as for this is not what this thread is for!
So now that we will be playing as a qunari, somehting has struck me. Their hair! Is it all white? Will that be our only option? (Not opposed to that as long as it matches up with lore). Sten had white hair, and all the Qunari in DA2 had white hair.
Even all the females have white hair
but THEN I stumbled upon this little promotional video gem:
And this Kossith/Qunari had black hair!
is it a rare thing like Kossith born without horns, or was it just some little concept thingy that doesn't matter?
Will we get the option to change our Qunari's hair color?
What video is that? I can't find it.

Isn't he the one that said the term could still apply?Chanda wrote...
Somewhere, David Gaider is face-palming.
In my opinion a term is needed for a grey giant person born outside the qun and qunari or tal-vasoth just isn't very accurate.
Gaider specifically said that Kossith is not a term use for Qunari or the race in game and will never be used in game/lore as such BUT that if people want to use it to diferentiate between thoes who follow the Qun and qunari that dont, then he is fine with that if it avoids complication (of which he doesnt see why it would).
the ONE thing he said he did hate is when people act like leaguer of one and argue that it is/isn't the right term and in doing so act like others are stupid.
Although reading some of your other comments you would also come under the section of 'things that bother him' because you are doing the oposite and arguing that Kossith is right and anyone who calls then Qunari is wrong...

For sure. No matter the race I start with on my first play, I'll certainly be going through the CC for everyone just to see. I'm really looking forward to doing that, in fact.Magdalena11 wrote...
I think that there will be some leeway in haircolor selection as well as skin tone. Qunari skin tones are metallic tinged - silver, gold, bronze but are also described as ashen - greyed out versions of these colors? For hair, maybe greyish metallic versions of other races'?
Now I'm tempted to start out as a Qunari just so I can see what's available....

And the jewelery....or, not really jewelery, but...the gear that qunari, uh, kossith, uh, vashoth, is wearing.
Personal adornment for the PC, please. All of them, not just the kossith. The option at least. Some cool things to help express our character.

I wouldn't mind some different variations of white/grey, like darker vs lighter vs metallic tones. But frankly, i'm more interested in whether or not we'd be able to mess around with the horn shape/colour.
Lighter darker white/light tones seems pretty possible in the least. I know, in the World of Thedas, there are three qunari skin tones: Copper (Sten), Silver (ALL OF DA2), and Gold (WANT, OMFG WANT, GIMME GIMME GIMME!!!!)
and I think horn customization (or horn-less) was confirmed recently.

I'm more worried about how the horns and hair will interact and look together - I've noticed the hair of horned creatures in other games leave much to be desired.
Better hair and hair colours in general!

I'm hoping that the hairstyles aren't race-specific because if they go that route, then the qunari will likely have mostly long, braided, and dred styles. I'd really like to have my qunari sport a short hairstyle, so I'm hoping that all of the races get access to all of the styles.
Regarding color, I'd probably go for a white or gray color regardless of the options because I actually like that color on the qunari. I'm not loving the black color on that qunari in the concept art earlier in the thread. Although, if they gave us an option to have partially dyed hair (like some of the qunari in DA 2), then I'd probably use that as long as you can still see parts with the original white color.

And yes, it's Qunari. That's what the devs have said on multiple occasions. I think it's absolutely arrogant to say, "Kossith," when the people who wrote the flipping lore have said that, "Qunari," is the more appropriate term when referring to the actual race of big, grey, horned humanoids. Kossith describes the humanoid race and culture that came before the Qun. It has even been explicitly stated that the Kossith may not have even been Qunari and they may have been something entirely different.
Personally, I believe Kossith were the unaltered, original race. Then, as other people on the BSN have theorized, they did something involving dragon blood and magic that would change the Kossith into something much different: The Qunari.
