That's actually part of what I like about her.  The whole "Darth Vader meets Cute Girl" thing is adorable.

Tali is just boring. I don't hate her, but i don't like her either. She isn't interesting enough to evoke an emotional response.

There was this one Tali freak who rattled off a long list of the most inconsequental things at me, including her idle elevator animations and her being the only one who liked the music in the Flux (tho I think Ash liked that too). Such fantastic characterization. /sarc

Tali is just kinda there. She's not very interesting to talk to and also don't understand why anyone would want her as a romance when nobody has any idea what she looks like other than having weird feet. i dont hate the character but don't understand the obsession that SOME of her fans show toward the character. It's plain creepy.

I don't hate Tali, but the rabid fanboyism going aruond for her is seriously turning me away from her, and I wish this wasn't the case, because I like her as a character.

Don't get me wrong, I liked Tali as much as any of the other characters. None of them really constitute a "favorite" title from me. Maybe I can give you a least favorite: Ashley.

I can already tell from this new cast (which is much more diverse and interesting, Tali and Garrus included as they are no longer stupid noobs and have developed a LOT [seemingly] since the first) that my favorite character in the series will be Moridan.

I have no problem with Garrus. His character is vastly superior. He is filled with that "If I do my job, it shouldn't matter how I do it" kind of mentality that I love. He is an embodiment of what all law enforcement should be.

i dont hate her, but i couldnt care less if she died in between ME1 and ME2, shes plain boring, flotilla this blah blah geth that blah blah blah, honestly its like a punishment gettting her and garrus the 2 most boring chars of ME1 again, how can anyone even think about romance is beyond me, but its great the option is in the game for the ones who care about it.

I'm on my final playthrough of ME and I just finally put her in my party for the first time. She's actually very capable and I think the storyline is enriched with her being in it. As people said before, she pushed the game off to a start, but she also provides good backstory on her race. Plus, on missions she talks. If you hate her for being a masked woman of some sort, go ahead, but to say she's useless isn't true.
