Seriously, I understand exactly how you feel about Tali because I feel the same about Garrus.  Even in combat I found him woefully inadequate.  Tali, on the other hand, is easily the most competent squad member in my opinion.  Very strong.

Seriously. I like Garrus well enough I guess, but god was his character terrible. He was easily the least developed of the 6, and he never got away from the "Cop who plays by his own rules" character even in the slightest. He's a terrible police officer that doesn't give a **** about anything but making his arrest, and if civilians get hurt, who cares, he did his job.

Honestly, I don't dislike him persay, I just find how much some people obsess over him very confusing. I guess some people feel the same about Tali, and that's fine, but man, atleast there is more to Tali's character.

The Tali lovers don't JUST love Tali for her hips.(In fact, I suspect it's an inside joke of some sort.) No one should love someone based on how they look. They love her because they think that she has a great attitude, is an awesome character, and is witty and charming. She kind of strikes the middle ground between Ashley, the hardass tomboy, and Liara, the smart, bookish, 'librarian' type.



Personally, if she is a love interest, I'd prefer it to be a kind of 'talk it out' thing where they admit their love for each other. The romance doesn't have to culminate in an intimate scene, you know. Maybe he just kisses her visor, or her neck, or something.



(Then again, I ain't gonna complain if, somehow, they do give us an intimate scene.)

I have to agree with this statement.  I think it would be really interesting to see this kind of romance pan out: One where you didn't know what the other person looked like and where you couldn't physically touch them.

Maybe I should be happy she was added to your squad in Mass Effect 2. Now I can kill her.

I don't hate Tali. I might even like her a little bit. I just don't like Russian accents + female voices. Now, I'm looking forward to the male Quarians and hearing them with that accent (smexy).



I don't think she was particularly interesting in ME1, so I am curious how she will have changed in ME2.

I have to admit for a long time I found her pretty useless and very boring. I did adore the accent and her overall look, however. I've played ME so much, though... that I slowly began to like her. Same thing happened with Ashley pretty much. Now Tali is my favorite female!

Basically, instead of listening to her drone on about her culture, I came to notice her enthusiasm about everything. She's sweet, caring, and is one of the strongest supporters of Shepard. Plus, some of her comments when she's in your group had me laughing. She's very clever, and she knows how to take care of herself, without having an attitude. She's very fun!

I can just imagine her and femshep shopping together, and spending the whole day 'girl talking'.

The Geth were created by the Quarians, and Tali is a Quarian. Quarians have useful knowledge about the Geth, which in case you forgot, were working with Saren. She also has valuable hacking/electronic skills...and she provided you with info that does make you a Spectre. And there's that Geth data that you get later in the game, which you can choose to give her. That could, quite possibly, influence things in ME2 (I mean, if they brought Al-Jilani back, I think THIS decision means something). By the way, I'm female and have no interest in her as a love interest, so I'm being objective here. Are you just posting to because you don't like those LI threads or something? Here's a thought: don't read them if they bother you, and then you don't have to do silly things l ike this. It's not exactly mature to rant about hating a character because you don't like the people who like her...at any rate, as a character, I thought she was fine - always took her along myself in my lost saves with Kaidan. It worked out well for me since I was a Vanguard and my tech skills sucked.

Foregoing insults, I must admit that I find it hard to believe that someone who would actually never think these thoughts about an actual individual would post a post such as yours anywhere. Is it actually out of character for you, or are you pretending that it's only because it's a game?

Wow...I thought Tali was one of the more interesting party members in ME1. She was certainly one of the most useful in terms of combat (only somewhat redundant if you played an Engineer).



As far as attractiveness...it's the child bearing hips and the mystique of the mask. 2 things that usually do it for males (tho they may not even realize it).

I disagree with it, though. I like Tali. She's got a cute accent and is enthusiastic and friendly, not to mention she's a tech geek.

Disliking a character purely because lots of people like her seems like being iconoclastic to the point of perversion. IMO your dislike is misaimed. What you actually dislike is the Tali fanbase, not the character herself. Which is fair enough.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say you just LIKE confrontation.  Considering how you're responding only to the people who are having mind spasms at the fact that you insulted the most wildly loved character on this forum.  I'm not saying it's ridiculous not to like Tali, because, other than her accent, I didn't find her THAT interesting either.  I certainly didn't hate her, and she was a big part of the story, but you were just looking for a fight.  <_<
