Asking people if they hate Tali is like asking people if they hate Morrigan, Ashley, Garrus, Lelianna, Sten, SuZe, Miranda, and any BioWare created party member. Going to get mixed responses. Which is a good thing I suppose.



Honestly, I have yet to really hate any of BioWare's characters, disliked some but never hated.

I don't hate her. I just don't really care for her, she's just...there. Sure I used her in my squad and sure I talked to her, but when I had conversations with her I found myself getting bored.

Look, Rip504 you're out of line here. You're bringing this whole discussion down. I, as a Tali fan, want to understand exactly how the OP has come to his conclusions, and perhaps temper them with reasoned debate. That's what forums are for.

You need to learn that people have different opinions, and insulting people who disagree with you is not the way to change their minds. Ok, the OP is a bit insulting about people who want a LI for Tali, but you lose all the high ground if you start throwing out insults right back. Ideally you'd just want to call him out on that, and leave it at that.

Because if she didn't get the audio files from that geth, there goes the evidence you needed to prove Saren was responsible for Eden Prime. That evidence is the only reason the council allows Shepard to become a spectre so he could go after Saren. And if Shepard didn't become a spectre, they never would have given him full control of the Normandy.

I'll admit Tali took me on a bit of a roller coaster before settling into indifference with a hint of dislike.



When you first run into her she seemed like an interesting character; blowing people up, dealing in back alleys with shady folk, telling off Wrex, and I liked her.



Then I have my first convo on the Normandy with her and she was all excited and cheery. Now as a devout pesimist and cynic up-beat people ****** me the !@#$ off. So I disliked her.



Then she calmed down and brought me back to indifference.



The reason I somewhat dislike her is because after learning about the Quarians I can't help but dislike them. They "accidentally" created an artificial intelligence, one they'd heavily integrated into their society, and when they strike first not only are they surprised they lost but they blame the Geth. To me that's a lot like me running up, trying to mug someone, getting my nose broken, and blaming the guy I tried to mug. It's not so much that they attacked the Geth (I can certainly understand that), but the fact that they, based on Tali's responses, refuse to take responsibility for their actions.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Tali was not very interesting (if you see it that way -  I liked her personally) in ME1 because she was basically a "get to know the quarians" character. As the only other Quarian in the game, she alone had to be a source of their culture and such. Everything she says revolves around the Quarians or the flotila.

But now that ME2 has more quarians, they're already established and Tali is not as tied to the flotila anymore, I'd imagine she's much more fleshed out personality-wise. At least, I'm hoping she will be.

As for the rabid fans- she had those the moment we knew her name.

His sentence starts with Tali being the subject, but then it alters to having the evidence as the subject. Read it again and it makes sense. The evidence makes proves Saren's guilt, which makes you a Spectre etc etc.

I like Tali because shes interesting. If you actually go out of your way to talk to her you can see her character and how interesting it is "imo"



Personally I hate Wrex. I dont even get why people like him. I mean really its the "Im such a gruff and tuff hombre but im also wise and honorable" no thank you. Boring boring boring.



But I dont go around screaming at Wrex fans and calling them insane or wierd. People like what they like. Some people find german pron very stimulating. I do not. I however dont think any less of them. People like what they like. It cant be helped. What some see as a negative some see as a positive.

Even though this is true, she didnt give it to him, Udina did. And You dont know that, there is a possibilty Shepard could have found evidence himself. It would only be a poor assumption to say the only way Shepard got the ship and his status is because of her. He could have done it on his own, but i cant prove that is true, and you cant prove that is false.
