So much anger in you...you're practcally proving my point.  I wish I could understand why some people enjoy allowing themselves to be miserable by wearing their anger on their sleeves instead of just letting the unimportant s#*t just roll off their back.

But then who would yell on our radio programs?  Who would build our suicide bombs?  I guess angry people do fill an important role after all.

Sorry but file me under Tali fan, and if you hate her hey that's your opinion and you are more than welcome to it, however I don't understand the whole well this character has so many fans, I now hate this character! That's kind of silly if you ask me, if you want to hate a character for their personality, lack there of, looks etc fine. But hating a character, even partly because they have a huge following? **** if everyone did that I can tell you just how many character's we'd like in fiction. 0. I'm not a huge fan of Liara or Ash. I kind of like Garrus because he shares the same mentality as me. However, I'm willing to admit that his character was under developed in the first game.

I'm not a huge fan of Liara or Ash. I kind of like Garrus because he shares the same mentality as me. However, I'm willing to admit that his character was under developed in the first game. 

so then it's safe to say Tali's character was under developed as well. Bioware said they were surprised at Garrus and Tali's popularity, because they didn't expect the characters to stand out. I don't think Bioware was trying to make them really in depth in the first game, unlike Ashley or Liara.

So that's why they gave them more important roles in ME2. We'll get to see what Tali and Garrus are really like.

Not liking Tali is fine, but I get the impression that a lot of the 'hate' comes from people who just want to be contrarian. Sort of like disliking a band that becomes too popular.

I wanted to really like Garrus, but he did come across as underdeveloped to me as well. He was meant to be your protege, but he came across as a bit spineless because he deferred to Shepard all the time. I still like him though, and I hope his character comes into its own in ME2.

While this is true, I think that Wrex's character was much deeper, which made him more interesting. Tali was just a bore.
