I'd never thought I'd say that myself, but I'm oversaturated, just like with Liara. The price of their importance seems pretty high. Garrus gets many redundant lines (like 3 or 4 comments after any given mission, all variations of the same thing), while some characters barely get a damn thing. Barely present to braindead. That is bad for the game world in general, and for people who wanted to close the game series in their own way.

Hmm... And people like David wonder why certain players like myself think that the ME3 Normandy feels "empty" in comparison to the previous games.

The core squad might've sat well with me if were more rotating character presences like Wrex/Legion got. Or just an extra mission or so with some (especially Jack, Grunt, or Miranda). They need not be playable, but at least some characters would still feel a part of Shepard's "life" in some way. That alone goes a long way in setting up atmosphere. It sucks that I have more dialogue with Diana Allers and Engineer Adams more than Thane, Grunt, Jack, Samara, and Miranda. Is this supposed to be some kind of "test"? I've been thinking about that. The word "Crucible" itself means a "test", a trial by fire of sorts. Maybe the whole game is symbolic of being a "crucible", to see how much deprivation some players can deal with. Except you win the lottery if you're a huge Garrus or Liara fan. "You chose wisely, my son."
Fooled me. I didn't know there was a "right" way to even play Mass Effect before ME3 was released.

But I liked using Liara a lot during ME1, and didn't get to use her at all in ME2. Instead I had to look at Miranda's ass shots and break up fights between Jack and Miranda. So Liara draws a winning card in ME3. Deal with it. Pssst. Miranda's ass still got camera time.

Tell me StreetMagic, do you find think anything contradictory in making whiny comments like that and making posts that people take Mass Effect too seriously and should relax?
I am still relaxed. I'm typing all of this in my bed, in fact. Quite comfortable.
Anyways..What's so whiny so about it? What kind of delivery are you reading into my posts? Do you read it in some high pitched, nasaly tone that's crying or something? That's your problem, if that's the case. Not mine. I'm pointing out real things missing in the game. I don't have to be too serious about it. It's just a fact. Just because you don't give a **** doesn't mean it's "whiny".

And I sympathize with that. Although you got a good DLC.
Personally, I don't think this attempt at depriving people did much good for anyone. I know Hudson treated the ME1 >ME2 transition as some kind of experiment to see who would "cheat" or not. That was one of his reasons at least. I don't know if that's what they were trying to do again or not though.

I don't understand why the VS didn't get a similar DLC to be honest. They wouldn't even really need their own. Tucking them into Arrival would have been enough for me.

"They'll kill Kenson if they see an armed squad of marines." - Hackett. Sends 103rd Marine Regiment in if Shepard doesn't do the job.
Conclusion: Shepard was that good, or it was a set up and Shepard was that dumb.

I guess they wanted to save the VS for a more dramatic comeback, but I don't think it came out that way in ME3.

Thing is, it's possible for Hackett to be wrong about being unable to send a team to successfully extract Kenson.
The bigger problem, as I see it, is that this alternate outcome of Arrival just doesn't seem possible, given what happens on the asteroid. The only reason Shepard was able to succeed at all was because Harbinger had this weird obsession with capturing Shepard alive for whatever reason, rather than simply killing him/her and removing the threat. Any soldiers brought into the asteroid would have been led right into the trap with Object Rho, and they would not have been spared like Shepard was, being nameless soldiers Harbinger doesn't know anything about.
Arrival should have been a Priority mission. It certainly serves better to give a reason why Shepard has to return to Earth to answer for whatever.

Mordin: have him return to STG and produce a report on the Collector base and Cerberus and also Aratoht.
I'd add Samara as well, get her onto Thessia or into the justicar order with that same report.
That would get all 3 Tortoises of the Galactic Races actually motivated months before. Garrus just needs to speak nice to dad and get some strings pulled. Mordin just needs to pull rank. Samara just needs to say "I'm a justicar, Deal with it"
Added Characters
Urz the Varren, I want a dog for Xmas :-) but this will do
Gianni Parasinni, Shiala and Sha'Ira, just because my male Shep was a Biotic Dog who wanted to spill his seed at every opportunity and meld with as many Asari as possible. The bed in the cabin looks big enough for some party games and Joker needs some new in flight entertainment
Geth Leaper, to clean those hard to reach areas in the Normandy

I chose EDI a lot of the time to go on missions, and she has a lot of dialogue. I guess I won by choosing her.

was as this at me for not liking Liara?
It doesn't hurt me that you brought EDI. I didn't and if I was the one who had the say would have replaced her with a Vorcha.
I dont like Liara's appearance/personality , but that doesn't mean I instantly like Miranda's . In my main profile I romanced Ashley, second I romanced Tali.

I also don't think you can replace Vega since there should be a "newcomer". and you should have at least 2 of each type of class (biotic, tech, regular)

add- Grunt, Legion, Thane and Miranda.
Kirrahe would be an alternate.
But I got a better one.
How bout we drop all the squadmates from ME3. Have all the squadmates from ME2 return. Then add 4 more.
So then: Kirrahe, Blasto- (you know it would be epic), Wrex and Aria.
I know Blasto is an "actor" but c'mon. I mean Liara went from some dorky science nerd to pwning Asari commandos and kicking the shadow brokers a**. So it's not to much of a reach.
Imagine, if you will. Blasto and Grunt as squadmates.... Aahh, the possibilities.
**side note: I know he's a complete scrub and an idiot, but might I ask. Since this is the big grande finale and the end of the Shepard saga, can we make some room for Conrad Verner on the SR2 this time around. This dude has paid his do's, it's time he get a spot on the roster. Maybe not in the combat rotation but at least he can chill out in the mess hall and be Shepard's private buttler. It could work.
