Maybe... a Talon salute?
This. I remember a turian on Menae salute Gen. Corinthus. It was a regular salute.

Don't you remember Sovereign from ME1? The Reapers left their technology behind so that all species would salute the exact same way?
My gods. It all makes sense now.

And I think that salute of Talon's members looks just silly...

Given the Turian attitude I would have thought Bioware would have given them the Roman salute.

Which annoyed me a little. Why would they salute in the same way? Though I guess I can just put it down to translation convention.

Which would probably make the game illegal to sell in Germany and Austria for zero payoff, but then again Bioware seems to enjoy shooting themselves in the foot.Given the Turian attitude I would have thought Bioware would have given them the Roman salute.

It would also anger lots of people outside those countries, since the salute is now more associated with the N@zis than Victorian-era paintings of Romans. If they had used that salute for the Turians, the forum would have been flooded with "Why are the Turians N@zi?!" threads.
Unless Julia meant the clenched-first-over-the-heart salute from films like Gladiator.
