I am watching the Omega DLC on youtube, and noticed that many Talon Turians Raise their guns up to salute Aria and Nyreen. Is this supposed to be a Turian Military salute?

Don't you remember Sovereign from ME1? The Reapers left their technology behind so that all species would salute the exact same way?

Which annoyed me a little. Why would they salute in the same way? Though I guess I can just put it down to translation convention.

It would also anger lots of people outside those countries, since the salute is now more associated with the N@zis than Victorian-era paintings of Romans. If they had used that salute for the Turians, the forum would have been flooded with "Why are the Turians N@zi?!" threads.
Unless Julia meant the clenched-first-over-the-heart salute from films like Gladiator.
