Synthesis is a utopia, as designed by someone with no patience for real human beings.
Do you mean the Catalyst or Casey Hudson himself?
Maybe the Catalyst is Casey Hudson

Actually, yelling at the eons-old, immensely overpowered Reapers to get out of the galaxy and them actually complying would have been far worse than, as you say, the "artistic integrity" ending.
So, you think that "Ok, we'll leave" is an order of magnitude worse than "Ok, we'll let you blow us all up if you want to--I'll tell you how," or "Ok, you're our god now."
Interesting.

Indeed. The Reapers have directives they've been following since time immemorial, after all. 50k-year cycles, remember? Next week, they might crunch the numbers again and come back to finish the job.
You haven't actually dealt with the threat.

You're probably one of the most evil people in the world. No exaggeration.lady_v23 wrote...
IMO the ideal solution. I don't want to destroy all AI and EDI, and I don't like the idea of being a crappy space vigilante. So I choose synthesis. Besides, I like the color green.

The Catalyst went off the rails once already and came up with the Reapers in a spectacular failure of intended purpose. The green ending leaves the Catalyst in place, now "augmented" with some additional code based on Shepard's DNA. How long before its crap code logic goes off the rails again?
The same applies to the blue ending. Shepard Almighty might be fine at first, but the basic limitations that applied to the Catalyst would also apply to Shepard Almighty, who is after all running on the same hardware. Now Shepard has become the threat.
Only destroy removes the possibility of crunching the numbers with the result of dead humans = 1.
