I think she looks fine but I do think they should make her look closer to her DA2 appearance than they have so she would be more recognizable.

I'll probably romance Sera or Vivienne. Gaider can say so what because he knows badly drawn Cassandra or Morrigan won't deter sales.  Those of us who are dissatisfied with their looks; We're going to buy the game anyway.

Why are we still paying attention to this thread, it was built on a dickish premise and the OP's statements made it into dick mountain, were just echoing into an empty cave now.

hey i didn't say i did not like her..or tha ti would not romance her if she is a LI...i just said i mistook her for a man at first...i recognised Varric and Morrigan first time i saw them...Cassandra was just different and a bit like a man first time i saw her...so what if she looks a bit manly.?Still good

I notice a lot of people commenting on how a lot of the faces "changed", but they seem to forget that the has passed in the DA universe. Plus it's a different engine, which is of course going to mean changes.
Regarding Cassandra, I think she looks lovely and tough.

Only about 10 years or so I've heard.Time has nothing to do with it. They couldn't port the faces over from the previous games.
So they redrew them and did a bad job in a couple of cases, possibly more depending on which other previous DA characters are in DAI.

Cassandra looks fine.  Have to keep in mind that lighting can play a roll in how people look in certain circumstances though.  I'm sure many of us know this from creating our characters then seeing them in game under different lighting elements.

techincially time has only passed for everyone but Cassandra, I believe the story Varric told Cassandra was a course of 10 years and year 10 pretty much being around the time Varric told Cassandra that story. I mean DA team could say the time between DA2 release and to Inquistion release date is the amount of time that passed in Dragon Age world too, but thats what? only a three years since DA2 was released.

I honestly never found DA2 Cassandra attractive or interesting. I just found the character too bland. Her face, like most of the humans in DA2 was too perfect and unblemished with flawless skin and perfect smiles and not enough muscle contractions to pull off a believable frown.

Of course, all perception of physical attraction is completely subjective and it would be arrogant of me to presume that mine is the only correct one. And since I figure I might be the one and only person that liked the brown medieval teeth in Origins and was disappointed to see them go, I can assume my perception of beauty is rather unusual. Women that don't have perfect skin or jaws or cheekbones look more real and that in itself adds its own layer of beauty.

Based on what little I've seen of Cassandra so far, she hasn't come off as any less bland. Maybe I'll change my mind once I've traveled with her as a companion for a while, because at the moment I'd be more interested in exploring a relationship with Oghren. The choice to step away from the perfect supermodel however is one I support. The only women that have socalled "perfect" faces are covered in layers of makeup or photoshop or both and I'd be surprised to see either on a woman drenched in the blood of her enemies and garbed in dented armour.

I think Cassandra looks fine! To me, she never really stood out in DAII so I was a bit shocked and disappointed when she was announced for DA:I, but I think she'll be an interesting addition to the story. I'm excited to hopefully learn more about her.

As for her looks? Well, her looks don't really stand out to me much, either. She looks a bit like "general bad-ass female" in my eyes. A bit forgettable, for lack of a better term. her character design overall isn't bad or anything though, ye?
