I recently bought the latest Phoenix Wright game, although I haven't beaten it yet, and I think it's absolutely awesome that we get to play as Phoenix, Apollo and new attorney Athena Cykes. I figured this would be a good place to discuss the game, or other Phoenix Wright games.

I've only just gotten a 3DS to even have a chance of getting into the series. I did play the Dual Destinies demo though. Pretty cool.

That was a fun demo, and I enjoyed watching Fraser go through it on his Video Games are Awesome Web Show.

I just finished the case at the Academy, so I've played as Phoenix (prologue case/same case from the demo) the case after that where you play as Apollo Justice, and the case after that where you play as Athena Cykes. I have to say this game is really holding my attention, and the latest case is quite a doozy!

My friend and I have been playing it - he's done, but I'm still on the fourth case. I think the graphics have been nicely updated, and I like the 3D effects for the most part. The quirky humor of the series certainly still seems to be intact. *chuckle*

I am playing the first one currently. I just completed the third case.

I like it...though the **** that gets pulled in the court room will not survive in a real court-room. At least a US court room...not sure how the Japanese courts are.

I know it's a game, but still.

It's based on the Japanese legal system, not the U.S. legal system (and they've always taken a more humorous approach to things, rather than shooting for realism). That being said, I've read about Japan trying to move towards a jury system like our - not quite sure how that's been working out.

They added a juror system at the end of Apollo Justice....but it doesn't seem to have carried over.

I beat Dual Destinies the other day and I have to say, I am impressed. None of the previous games ever had so many chapter dedicated to the same case, or a branch of the same case. The guilty person was totally the LAST person I expected.

Now I'm playing the DLC case. ^_^
