Like the ones in SWTOR, it would give the players satisfaction of look for each of their companions. I'm not trying to insult the character artist, I love the work they do, but everybody has a like and dislike in different character's appearance so why net give us options at least? like 3 per companion. Maybe have one where Cassandra has long hair and medium hair and etc for other characters. Thoughts?
Are you suggesting something like Mass Effect appearance packs? I'd be okay with that, but one of the things that I liked about the Dragon Age approach to party member loadouts was that I could either suit them up, in Origins, or enhance their armor, in DA2. There was less customization in DA2, but I liked the upgrade idea.

honestly i wouldn't describe it as "less" more like none, and you only get teh second outfit if you have a relationship with them

A fair point, especially when we consider that the set bonus for party members went away in lieu of the one-size-fits-all armor approach. I seem to remember--from the GI article?--that armor customization was a big focus for this one. That seems to be reinfoced by the recent discussion of character body types.

If customization options are built-in that just means the companions are meant to look a multitude of ways. All of those ways could still fit the theme of the character.Thrillho_82 wrote...
I would prefer not. I like companions to look how they were meant to look. Too much control over such things makes the game feel small to me.
And last I heard they do plan on doing something like this anyway. That was one of the first things we learned about DA:I. I dunno about hair length, though. Unless the OP is actually suggesting some bat**** like skin tone options or something.

Characters will have a "core" appearance, for instance, Cassandra will always wear dark armor with some kind of coat-tails, but different items equipped to them will change their appearance somewhat.

Hmm... I could get behind the "family depends on character creation looks" kind of like DA2. However, I would prefer that all other companions have a set look and personality. I guess I just don't want the entire game to be preset to my preferences. I would rather characters have their own look and whether or not I find said look attractive be non-consequectial.
