I make dial up noises into the mic sometimes.

You seem to be working through a lot of pain.  Tell me about that.

I just have a hard time connecting to the net of contacts I have sometimes.
It's almost like everyone abandoned me in prefrence to the new faster broader newer option.
I understand the world needs to move forward... but I run too slow to keep up with data of today.

It hurts to feel useless so I remind people that once in the past EEEEEEEEEEE GROOOOOOOOOOOOO AAAAAARUU AAAAARUU AAAAARUUU EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE KRRRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHH!!

Z..you are just too fantastic for words.

So you feel abandoned, obsolete.  You feel as though your best efforts aren't seen as adequate by--Geez, could you stop that screeching?!  Good God, man!

Well, I see our hour is up.  I'll be referring you to another therapist, as I don't believe that I have the specialized expertise to assist you with your trauma.  I'll have security show you out.

Oh, I should probably answer the topic.

I prefer party chat. Because I'm not here to make friends with pugs man. I only use game chat if I'm with people who are also using game chat, and even then I'll stay in a party until someone kicks me out or it disbands :P

Well to be on topic:

I rarely speak up on PC but sometimes you run into a chatty BSNer so it's nice to return the favor.

With friends it's party chat, cos' we don't wanna scare that poor pugz with our trash-talk.

With pugz I usually remain silent, although if someone is talky I return the favor. After all it's a good way to practice my English.

As long as everyone is chill, it can actually make the experience better.

If I play with friends, I tend to be on a chat program with them. If I am playing with randoms, I don't bother because my in game voice chat bugs out half the time.

Tantum you can't heal being a Finn, it's in our nature to be a "little" nuts.

Example

On topic: I usually prefer silence, but if I'm invited to a party I might even talk.

I almost always use a party, ME3 works seems to work better if one person hosts the party and another hosts the game.

I sometimes play the Jelly Donut Scene from Full Metal Jacket so everyone can hear it using a mic, I have no real reason why I do that other than its funny and sometimes gets someone to talk to me.  Lol

Great Mother of Esa Tikkanen!  Another Finn?!  Did Sauli Niinisto (apologies for any neglected umlauts) declare Mass Effect 3 the national sport or something?

And you should know that you're not fooling me!  I know that the so-called Finnish language is a scam and that you just babble gibberish while secretly communicating with morse code tongue clicks and hand signals!  I have proof!  Right now I have to hide from Jyrki Katainen's murder squads in the trunk of my car, but soon it will all come to light and your country's reign of linguistic fraud will have come to an end!

Soon, my friend!  Soon.

Where are my pills?

Like I said, I do participate in that myself. But I'm a firm believer in all things real (that includes real life, face to face interactions), I hold such things in very high regard, nothing can or will ever replace that. Talking to your gaming buddies through a microphone just seems really odd, unnatural, forced, inappropriate and unnecessary to me. Gaming is a solitary hobby for me. When I'm done playing, then I'm free to chat to the people I know, friends and family...face to face...in real life! I hope I have made my point clear.

I find this a wee bit ironic for someone that invests so many hours in game and in store spamming recruit packs. For me personally the store and pugs would be intolerable, I would've left this game a long time ago if I didn't have interesting people to play with but to each his own.

Well I accept party invites and invite people to my parties all the time. I can sometimes be a chatter box to the point where it becomes an annoyance even to myself. TBH though all 95% of me talking is forced because I'm naturally a quiet guy and would prefer to be silent and have my Mic unplugged. Not that I fake it when I talk it's just that I've realized that being more social can take you a long way and it's personal growth for me.. Anyways Inb4coolstorybro

TL;DR version = Neither? Kinda both? Situational? Occasional?

I'm usually on @ night when the kids (parrots) are sleeping behind me and gf is right next door in the bedroom sleeping so I really am more of I cant even mic up to answer. I guess if the person(s) are pretty mellow down to earth just playing the game and what have you and its a rare op that I get to be on much earlier I might plug up. Use to mic up alot more @ game release... I use to mic up alot more at games release to talk/learn/warn etc but since solos and all, communication isnt 'important' for me (not for the soloer either i guess) but i use it on occasion.  Even in a full group 4 friends I may be the only micless?  ;)

Parrots pet name for kids or kids pet name for parrots? Honestly wondering because my kids scream out ME3 quotes like BIG MACHINE, TAKING CASUALITIES and crap all the time. A parrot screaming some of this crap would just be too damn hilarious.:D

GF doesn't want kids, and due to medical issues I can't have them anyway so.... my birdies are my babies and my kids (perpetual 2 year olds lol).  As absolutely hilarious as it would be to hear <baaawk big machine big machine> I use a headset so no sounds from TV.  Also, the noise/booms/gunshots scare em and they jump down off pearches and I gotta go pick them up which means putting controller down and well that usually means death mid game ;)   Also, cant rush getting them and putting them back down cuz after awhile and a couple of gushers you really do learn to respect the beak ;) ;)

PS, whats the difference between a human child an a parrot?  It's actually cute when the bird talks back :D

I usually play with a mic, but then I feel silly when I talk and no one responds. It bothers me to not play with a mic, because I want to be able to tell someone if there is an overlooked phantom behind them or something. My husband never uses one, though. I swear my friends probably think he's imaginary and I'm doubleboxing. Yeah, I'm not that good. Sorry.

Meh, don't worry.  They'll find out about Phantom soon enough.

A parrot also doesn't complain when you put it in its cage.
