Killzone: Shadow Fall... Wow, the first next-gen game has set really high standards of quality.

I never got too hung up on FPS. I know 30's not as smooth as 60 but the difference never felt particularly jarring.

Going from the 30 FPS PS3 version of Bayonetta to the 60 FPS 360 version(and the definitive one) was pretty jarring for me.

Well you did it with the same game. I've played different games at different frames.

Killzone shadow fall was not that great to be honest. It had so many opportunities to do something amazing, but it missed its chance. You practically feel like the biggest jerkface by the end of the game because all you did was kill mountains of Helghast the entire game. First you defeat them in a war, kill their leaders, destroy their home planet, them you kill more of them. That is what I hated most about the game. I really don't understand why I think it deserves a 9/10. My main reason is that it does what a next generation game should do: Give us a bunch of "eye candy" graphics and visuals to look at, along with newer physics and other stuff. Just watch Adam sesslers review. He does some of the best reviews in all video games in my opinion. He never chooses sides and hardly seems biased, like IGN is.

And that's an hack n slash game too. It's very different (30 vs 60) for a hack n slash.

And I'd imagine for a fighting game, too. Very, very twitch.

Very very strange. You just said that you "hate Killzone series because it's all about stupid killing another race". Did I understand you right?

The point is that K:SF scenario leads protagonist to understanding that the full-scale war has to be prevented, and both sides have to stop killing each other, that both sides have innocent majority and few stupid fanatics who cause all the trouble... Like I said in OP, K:SF story is based on thoughts about wars, what actually cause them, how easy is to start them, how hard is to stop them, and what role pride and fear have in all of this... One of the main reasons why I love the K:SF story even through I'm not a fan of previous parts.

So my question is... did you actually play the game? It's really hard to play it and don't notice things I mentioned. Watching a game on youtube and actually playing it are completely different things. You don't miss such important things while playing.

Since graphics make a game what do you think about Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Seival? Is it good? Bad?

Again. Story and graphics are both important for a game. I said it many times already. Also, I said that gameplay is not as important as story and graphics, and should be at least acceptible. I wonder, are you unable to understand what I'm saying here, or you are just trying to make silly jokes?

Question for a question. What philosophical questions do GTA stories raise? Name them.

Why am I asking? Because without such questions stories are empty and meaningless, and can't be called great stories. That's why Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, or Harry Potter are just a fictional advantures for 12-years-old kids, while Ghost in the Shell, Appleseed, or Mass Effect are great and very well told serious stories with meaning.

I will give Killzone Shadow Fall this, it is a very pretty game. Out of the all the PS4 games that I own Killzone Shadow Fall is the most graphically impressive. It also runs very smoothly, I'm very impressed with the attention to detail and the frame rate.

Shame that I'm not really having fun playing it. I suppose it's not a bad game ( FPS's are not really my thing ) but the gameplay does not feel all that impressive. I think "Angry Joe's" Killzone Shadow Fall review pretty much sums up how I feel about the game, the gameplay feels some what dated, the visuals are next gen but the gameplay design is stuck somewhere back in the PS2 era.

Star Wars and Harry Potter don't raise philosophical questions? You serious right now?

Anyway, I asked you a question first. I would like an answer.

Yes, I'm 100% serious.

Do I look like a person who would like a car-stealing simulator? And you are asking a question already knowing the answer. I can't consider games with meaningless stories (or without stories at all) as great games.

Lol @ San Andreas having a meaningless story despite its satire painting a meaningful portrait of aspects of Los Angeles/America.

Does the goal justifies the means?
What exactly causes the conflicts and wars?
Do you consider machines with artificial intelligence as living beings?
What is more important, free will or order?
Do you believe organic beings and machines always end up in conflict?
How long can the achieved peace last?
Why civilizations have too short memory and always repeat the same mistakes?
What can change the nature of a man?
What would you do after given several options you don't like without any way to dictate your own rules?
Is the pride of one man more important than lives of millions of innocent people?
...

Should I continue?

You'll need to be updating that sig quite often, Seival.

I am eagerly awaiting the thread on Crysis 4 in the future.

But you love Killzone: Shadow Fall. Way to contradict yourself there, buddy.

You disagree with authors' answers to some philosophical questions they raised in their story? Good. Argue about that, and do that constructively, instead of calling the story "an example of bad writing". The story forced you to think about very important things, and you should be really greatful for that.

Didn't you know Killzone: Shadow Fall is basically Grave of the Fireflies the videogame? Cuz it is.

I suggest you to learn more about K:SF story before posting such nonsense.

Grave of the Fireflies is old and outdated. How anyone can prefer that over something more modern and deep like Naruto is beyond me.

Killzone is one instance where the backstory and lore are way better than the games themselves, I've played Shadow Fall and the story was only there to bring the player from one flashy set piece to another and had no substance to it.
