James has not sent me an email asking to speak with me in my cabin. I am trying to figure out why. I did the sparring match, followed by the investigate dialogue. I have also gone down to speak with him a few times after missions. The only thing I can think of is that I did not talk to him while he was in Purgatory. Any clue as to why James never asked for a meet up?
No private meeting with James?

Usually, I get the email requesting a meet up just after the coup, along with the request from Allers for an interview, and Traynor's "game night" request.

Sometimes it takes longer than that to get it. For me, it's usually sometimes during or after the Rannoch scenario.

I think you need the Purgatory scene to keep James' sub plot going forward. As you are aware after the cabin visit James will be in the docks getting his ink done.
