It's all a matter of preference. Not to mention that some weapons are very kit dependant (Typhoon, Crusader, BPP, Spitfire, heavy snipers), others not so much but still benefit from proper build (PPR, Sabre, Eagle, Pally,  light snipers). There is a group of weapons that can be slapped on anything (hurri, harri, wrath, talon, csmg, lancer). There are two "utility" weapons (and I love both).

But there is a gun that have no place, it doesn't fit either" casters", weapon platforms or mixed kits. Even the holly trinity (TSol, Destroyer, GI) can't make it more than ok. But Valkyrie is great on bronze and silver I think.

 Valkyrie for me. I just don't see a need for that gun. All the others have their place.

Precisely. Every UR is viable on gold, but different weapons will appeal to different players and their various play-styles. I saw the question as: "Of these 21 tasty flavours, which one(s) do you like slightly less than the others?"

I'd be OK with it as a SR if it lost the hipfire penalty. Actually the hipfire penalty in general is stupid. There is no situation where a bullet does less damage because you weren't looking through a scope.


For me I guess the BPP would be the worst UR. And don't get me wrong I really like the gun and it's not a bad gun. I just feel like it should have been a rare rather than an ultra rare. Its niche as an armor damaging weapon doesn't outperform the Hurricane or CSMG by enough to justify its UR status IMO.

In comparison with turricane, it doesn't have ammo issues. And you don't have to recharge manually, thus can sustain it's single clip deeps as long as you need to.
And no, it's not the case of "everything is good on TSol", it's a case when gun is meh on other characters bud godly on TSol, it was handcrafted for him.

Those are guns that require a very specific build and loadout, but they shine under those circumstances. 

Can Valkire become demigod in the hands of any kit? Nope, it's ok on GI and TGI... it's a poor mans Mattock, it doesn't deserve to be even uncommon assault rifle.

And if you want to talk about mook headshot bonuses... there is a supressor.

Just because something shines on a very specific build and loadout doesn't mean that it is a great weapon.  All that means is that it is extremely picky  If I don't like that specific build, the weapon is worthless to me.

My list:   Valkyrie - Requires lots of headshots, has high recoil and sub-par accuracy.  Not a good combination.
               Venom  - I know it's supposed to be good, but I just can't get the hang of it.
               BPP - Not a bad weapon, but should be rare.  No reason to use it over the other UR SMGs.
               Harrier - I utterly hate the low ammo on it.  Unless I'm playing my Demolisher.  She loves it.
               Typhoon - Because the RNG hates me and I can't get it.  So obviously it sucks.

Following your logic Typhoon is obviously bad, becauze it shines only on weapon specialists (built specially for typhoon) and, well, requires specific loadouts.
Sniper rifles are picky in general, cuz not many kits aside from lolfiltrators are capable to use them with decent results, and those who are (e.g. geth engie, destroyer, human engie, hsol)... require specific build and loadout. Does it make BW or Javelin bad?

I got a buddy that wrecks with a Krysae GE on plat... I still don't know how he does it. Yes I realize that it's a rare.

He probably excels at mook killing (almost every plat wave have some mooks), GE is fast and is a better mook killer than GI, and Krysae is a better mook killer than Jav. So It's quite possible, tedious and requires some dedication, but possible.

I can relate to that. "Not great" is not even close to being equivalent to "bad" in my view, but besides how much fun I find to play them, nothing else much matters when choosing a weapon. A "great" weapon for me would have to be powerful, fit my preferred playstyle and go well with a lot of different characters. So even my personal "Worst UR" (Spitfire) is by no means a "bad" weapon, I just like it least of all in this group.

Don't you dare bring my baby into this thread. The N7 Valient may not be the most powerful UR sniper in the group but it makes up for it with pinpoint accurcy and high rate of fire. I have the weapon at X and it holds its on on gold and platinum.

OT: I've managed to find a way to get SOME utility from every UR weapon... except for the BPP. Total disappointment, at least out of the box. Hopefully it gets better as it levels up.
