Well, it helps. I'm sorry for him. I started to shave from 7 grade (only the mustache). Now I can grow a monster beard if I want to.

I make some of my friends jelly only with my stubble

Some men look good with a stubbles/half-beards/beard, others must shave before it lays eggs.

Besides, large beards are not made to attract the ladies. They are for indimidating the gents.

Being hairy is annoying anyway.
I started shaving pretty young and I hate it.

Beard =/= hairy.

As your friend's case, you can grow Yeti on your face and be hairless/close to hairless on the rest of your body. It's just a matter of gens.

I pitty those guys that can't grow a beard, but they still lose all their capillary hair.

I'm quite happy with my genes, since I was about 17 I've been able to grow a nice beard that always decides to stop before it gets scraggly. And now I look naked without it, so it must be permanently attached to my face.

It doesn't live up to my other Viking brethren, but hey, you can't have it all.

^ It's better that way. When you go plundering and raiding other lands the defenders can't grab you by the beard and make you lose your balance + you don't know when a zombi apocalyse starts and you'll want your hair short, be it on your head or on your face.

* I grew my beard out for Movember. When the day come to shave it off thy own mother requested I keep the Impressive thing. It now goes out at night to fight crime wearing a cape whilst I sleep.

I choose 6) The Dragon Cultist. At least it is made of two mustaches, the 7th one is made of 4 mustaches... Look at the beard and you can realize it!

 I know.I made them. No skills in photoshop for me, so I had to find a photo editor. Couldn't find one that makes beards so I had to improvise with multiple mustaches.

Gimli would be appalled by the anti-beard rhetoric in this thread.  Everybody knows that a dwarf without a beard is a man without honor, or a wimpy dwarf at the very least.  I suppose an exception can be made for Varric.  And Sandal, who isn't really a typical dwarf either.

That's because in and of themselves, moustaches are creepy.

They need an accompanying beard in order to be awesome.
