i dont think it is a big deal. the times when we couldnt handle banshees running into the hack are over and i honestly cant remember the last time a hack gave me trouble, except maybe on london vs geth ;P

Not a fan. Just circumventing the challenge of the game.

Just mod your ini file to one-shot Phantoms and Geth Primes while you're at it.

This - at least they're somewhat contributing.

Only the activator of the hack can do it. You basically activate the hack and step out of it within a second of it's activation. If your omni-tool still shows then you have done it correctly. It's golden in solo speedruns

EDIT* It's extremely useful when pugging because pugs are seldomly seen in hacks anyway

I like the ninja devices (disabling them from where I shouldn't be able to), but I'm not a fan of hack glitching.

Pizza? Deal with it.

I don't do it but don;t really care if others do. The bigger worry for me is actually getting team mates to actually do an objective these days. It's become ridiculous the number of hack or escort objectives that half the team ignores.

Hacking outside the circle is mandatory when playing Platinum with pugs, particularly on waves 3 and 10. I always rush to it so that I can cheese it. I hate it when they beat me to it, cuz it's tough to do when someone else activates the thing.

I'm not sure how I feel about the exploit, but I sure want to strangle the IT staff that requires me to stand in one place while enemies converge on my position. Can't I just plug in a jump drive and let the tech geeks handle things remotely? Why can't I just pick up the laptop and take it back to the shuttle?

They're not fun. They trivialize the most "challenging" part of the game.

So, I don't do it. If others do it I won't complain though, as I'm not the only one playing the game... Still won't understand it though.

Apart from devices, of course. They're just POS really, so if I can I'll disable them from anywhere I can. I am aware of only one location where that can be done though...

Pizza = no issues with it because it requires effort to do off host (host should always go for them because it's easier). I hate the long ones on rio when off host - a bit frustrating and hard on the thumb.

Devices = anything to get them out of the way quickly.

Hacks = usually lucky to get there first in a team, don't care much either way if others do it, I don't do it personally. If someone's doing a solo, I think this particular glitch is not acceptable because it completely trivialises the objective. At least with pizzas you still have to get them to the LZ.

Are we thinking the same ones?

1. in the corner of the L-shaped counter in the lab that can be done from LZ
2. in the other corner of the L-shaped counter, can be done from inside the counter
3. in the basement, at the stairs from lower to the upper basement, doable over some kind of a box

Only the host can do it. Host doesn't have to activate it, but he has to be in the hack circle and leave it as fast as possible as soon as the hack is activated.

I don't do it myself but I don't mind others doing it.

What's with those devices tricks? I've never heard of them before...

It's sometimes necessary. Without it, I would have lost countless games. When you're playing with leechers who bleed out at the beginning of every wave (i.e. 99% of the pug population), it's going to be almost impossible to complete a hack objective all by yourself, especially on a tough map/enemy combo on a late platinum wave. So I always make it a priority to glitch out any hack that I get when playing with pugs. Trying to activate a hack by yourself in a 4 man game is almost impossible unless you glitch it out.

But I always tell myself, it's just a game...and I frequently ask myself, "Is this worth freaking out about?" The answer is always no.

I don't hack glitch in team games, but I do when I solo. I always run the pizza regardless of whether it's a solo or team game, assuming I'm on host anyway. I don't even know how to glitch devices, but if it's a solo I'm going to quit as soon as I see them pop up anyway, and I usually don't have much problems with them in a full team game.

I don't care how other people handle objectives, so long as they're doing them. Hack glitch, pizza run, whatever gets the job done.

Whenever I PUG it in Platinum, I find we extract at least 80% of the time without using this glitch and 95% extract rate with friends. Game too easy if you use glitches like this.
