I will do it occasionally while soloing.

Only the host can do it. Host doesn't have to activate it, but he has to be in the hack circle and leave it as fast as possible as soon as the hack is activated.

lol I've probably done it and didn't even realize it.  Ty

If you see your omni tool outside of the circle, you've done it right.

I don't do that myself, don't like it very much because it trivializes the challenge. But, well, it's not a big deal, I would not kick a player for that.

So, I don't do it. If others do it I won't complain though, as I'm not the only one playing the game... Still won't understand it though.

Apart from devices, of course. They're just POS really, so if I can I'll disable them from anywhere I can. I am aware of only one location where that can be done though...

Glacier has at least 3 that I can think of.

Are we thinking the same ones?

1. in the corner of the L-shaped counter in the lab that can be done from LZ
2. in the other corner of the L-shaped counter, can be done from inside the counter
3. in the basement, at the stairs from lower to the upper basement, doable over some kind of a box

At least two of the devices can be done from the opposite wall by extraction if you look upwards towards the disable. I'm not sure about the one that is right outside dark room but you might be able to get it through the wall there.

Edit: Just saw your pic. You can actually get another one from the LZ also the one that is in the room above where the hack is.

Not a fan. Just circumventing the challenge of the game.

Just mod your ini file to one-shot Phantoms and Geth Primes while you're at it.

Interesting. How do you feel about people that mod so they don't get four points?

I've done it in games with players I know and have announced that I am score wh0ring. It's funny to me in that regard; to boot, biower left it broken like most other things in the game so why not take advantage of it?

Even still, beyond that, I won't do it. I'd rather do a solo knowing I finished it the right way, or stand in the hack with the rest of the team the way it was intended, win or lose.

I try to glitch every hack on solos, wish I could "learn" to run with the pizza. KJ needs to teach me!

When playing with randoms or grinding, fine, but makes solo or team speed runs (when going for a time) void for me.

Eh I usually try to make sure my team is fine with it and I try to pull enemies away instead of just kill. I drop rockets on stuff encroaching on the hack where the team has an easier time. My score is usually padded most of the time anyways unless I'm with good players and most of the time one of them beats me to glitching the hack.

I'm sure FB White has one or two as well. I'm sh!t at remembering to do stuff like this though...

I glitch hacks, run with the pizza when soloing. This is my way of getting back at the game for employing cheap tricks like drill round scions and primes, smash cancelling dragoons etc.

In team games, I try not to do these.

I only do it when I'm soloing. I don't see the point of doing it with a full squad.

... also this

Glitching the hack in a team game usually doesn't work anyway. If the host does it, it will usually show "4 players uploading" for them, but not for the rest of the team. And the hack won't complete until it's finished on the screen of the other players.

That's what I mean; when it was first discovered that you could cheese the hack, I did it a couple of times in games with players I knew for lulz. There's also the occasion where me being outside of it is vital to our survival if I'm playing with pugs that are in over their heads on Gold or Platinum. But all the other games I play, solo or team, I stand in there and finish it with them.

Also, the score wh0ring thing is old now. I know when I've had a good game vs a bad one, and the scoreboard doesn't dictate that for me anymore.

There is one which spawns in the bottom right corner of the lab which you can do from behind the glass. I wasn't counting the one in the basement.

Also, in my view, it's not anymore or anyless 'cheating' than reload cancelling or RHA.

If you run with pizzas, nuke VIP targets or do devices out of the map then you shouldn't have a problem hack circle glitching. Its not like hacks are hard anyway.

It's really interesting that people would rather do it soloing than in a team game. I find for the most part it's easier to play the objectives legit on a solo than in a team game most of the time. A good team sure it's not necessary but with pugs most of the time it's much easier to cheese it and less headaches.

Never in team games. I do when soloing, especially for time. That and attempting to pizza run on console (usually unsuccessfully), which has been called before on here as a "clever use of in-game mechanics", I only typically attempt in soloing. If I'm not able to, I just hack it out and try not to ever leave the circle which ends being the same time duration anyway (usually with an extra ops pack used.)

I'm wondering if you can get that one in the corner just outside the hub/darkroom/redroom through the wall. Never tried it personally but it would seem like you might be able to.

I don't care how other people handle objectives, so long as they're doing them. Hack glitch, pizza run, whatever gets the job done.

In the same vein. Four point objectives on a tough map (Jade) can wipe even an experienced Plat team of friends. That is exactly the point. The game should always have A CHANCE to beat you. I'm not interested in playing if there is no chance of losing.

I only cheese the hack when soloing or if I know the PUGs are gonna die.
