What's your opinion on glitching the hack circle/cheating objectives?

I don't mind what the others do, as long as they contribute one way or another.

I don't really care if anyone else cheeses a hack but if they do, I leave the hack circle and kill stuff too. Because I get bored.

Interesting. How do you feel about people that mod so they don't get four points?HolyAvenger wrote...
Not a fan. Just circumventing the challenge of the game.
Just mod your ini file to one-shot Phantoms and Geth Primes while you're at it.
In the same vein. Four point objectives on a tough map (Jade) can wipe even an experienced Plat team of friends. That is exactly the point. The game should always have A CHANCE to beat you. I'm not interested in playing if there is no chance of losing.
I agree.

It's annoying, although score-whoring during hacks without hack glitching is worse imo. I always run with the pizza. Pizza is serious business, you can't deliver it cold.
True it that is worse than the glitch, but not by much in my book. I can live with running the pizza (not super easy on ecksbawks) but I also don't mind cold pizza. A slice to start off the day is wonderful.

Well, Admiral Hackett likes his pizza warm. He even pays more for it.VaultingFrog wrote...

I also disable that one Glacier device through the wall from the EZ and believe that more people should do that because it's hilarious.

The hack circle trick isn't a glitch -- devs must have meant it to be possible, right? Otherwise they'd have fixed it? Only glitch that gets me is missile glitching (though I have stayed through a few games when they've appeared after starting -- hate to quit and lose my hard-earned consumables).
By that logic then missile glitching was intended... they didn't fix it which means it was intended. Derp.

But, with the missile glitching I'm aware that they tried, over-and-over to fix it but failed. Anyway -- I was just trying to add humor, no need for derp name calling!

They did fix it sort of, at least diminished the number of ways people could do it.VaultingFrog wrote...

I'm not sure how I feel about the exploit, but I sure want to strangle the IT staff that requires me to stand in one place while enemies converge on my position. Can't I just plug in a jump drive and let the tech geeks handle things remotely? Why can't I just pick up the laptop and take it back to the shuttle?
Are you okay bro?
Also Herderion I think you played this game way to much....never knew you can disable a device without being there O_O

I'm wondering if you can get that one in the corner just outside the hub/darkroom/redroom through the wall. Never tried it personally but it would seem like you might be able to.-PenguinFetish- wrote...

They're not fun. They trivialize the most "challenging" part of the game.
So, I don't do it. If others do it I won't complain though, as I'm not the only one playing the game... Still won't understand it though.
Apart from devices, of course. They're just POS really, so if I can I'll disable them from anywhere I can. I am aware of only one location where that can be done though...
Glacier has at least 3 that I can think of.
Are we thinking the same ones?
1. in the corner of the L-shaped counter in the lab that can be done from LZ
2. in the other corner of the L-shaped counter, can be done from inside the counter
3. in the basement, at the stairs from lower to the upper basement, doable over some kind of a box
Visual representation:
There is one which spawns in the bottom right corner of the lab which you can do from behind the glass. I wasn't counting the one in the basement.
Nope you can't. Just tried it.
