You do realize that most of us here (speaking for myself obviously) do understand regardless of how we view certain aspects or express ourselves over this site.

^This. A lot of people accept difference and don't get bothered by it, they just acknoweldge it exists and move on with their lives. I don't think a lot of people even really care about those kinds of differences on this site. And if they really do and can't accpet that others are different, well that's their problem and they need to deal with it.

So what you're saying is:

You're an open-minded person, just not online?

Nah, I think you're off the mark.

Yep. That word gets thrown around to much in these parts.

It's used where it is deserved.

There is no such thing as partial bigotry. You're a bigot or you're not.

Whenever there is a topic regarding sexual orientation, there are always some people arguing against the presence of same-sex romances because "ick". Those people are bigots and will continually be called out.

So no, it's not thrown around.

No, I'm open-minded here and in person, but generalizations are a norm across you, me and everyone else on this site.

It's the 21st century. No one needs to see life through your eyes to realise that you are a person. If someone hate you because of your sexual orientation, it's becasue they are a backwards f*ck, not because they don't understand you. They just don't care. In life, we are bound to meet a few asses. It's time to move on, becasue the majority of people I've meet, do not hate people beacuse of their sexual orientation, and I live in South Carolina.

I get what you're saying, but "move on"? Totally rude and unnecessary.

Us and them. Becasue spirosz is one of the most open-minded people I know on here. Do not insult him.

And what disease is this? I'm confused.

Bigotry.

I didn't know disagreeing about video game character romance was bigotry

Yep. That word gets thrown around to much in these parts.

Doesn't make it any less true in this instance.

I thought this was a discussion on the mereit of quality in romances from playersexual vs preset sexual orientation in characters. Not about the morality of whatever that preset or player set sexuality is.

Because the later is just stupid, of course there isn't a moral problem in it. I don't think I've run into a person in my whole life who had such a issue like that, fortunate that I am.

They should just have 4 LIs of each gender, two straight, two gay.

Equal choices for everyone, and the zots saved could be used for other quests and stuff.

I was saying bigotry was an acceptable term to use in response to the guy who said pansexuality is bad because "ick".

Why not? People like this aren't worth my time. Anyone who hates someone for something that is out of their control or is not hurtful to anyone in anyway are less than trash, IMO. They aren't worth my time, so I move on. Don't take me the wrong way, eluvianix. I don't talk to hamburger wrappers either.

I mean this with no disrespect, but Americans have a colored view of the world.

You don't meet "a few asses" in Lebanon. You get beat up and taken to jail for it if the policeman is bored.

You don't "move on". You "move away" from the country or deal with your lot and make do.

So yes, I wish my local mayor would see the world through my eyes before raiding the only good local gay hangout in the name of purging evil from his town.

No I won't move on.

You're again assuming that your mayor does not understand. Has it accured that he does not care? That seeing what it is like to be gay will not change his mind?  Also you are also making the assumption that "Americans" are all in similar areas with similar ideas. Perhaps it is you that has a colored view of us. There is no such thing as a typical American.

Sounds like something a typical American would say.

You would know this how? Have youi magically transplanted yourself into someone else's brain to live in their shoes?

You're arguing hypotheticals with me when I have already said it was all wishful thinking.

---

Also it was a fair assumption to assume that most Americans do not know what it was like to grow up in a place like Lebanon because they have, simply, have not.

Your most homophobic town still has no right to lynch a gay person in public. People in Uganda get executed for it.

So I will generalize Americans and say that they, generally, would not approve of beating someone for who they are.

Was I wrong by generalizing the typical American in that regard? Cultural ideologies are a powerful uniforming force.

Under the assumption that this is not a joke, Reezy's cool. Like if an ice cube had hypothermia.

It is a joke.  I don't do them often since they fall flat.
