Despite my love of all tolkien-esque fiction, I never managed to get into Harry Potter. I should probably read the books some day.

@Lebdood: the Harry Potter books are FAR more advanced than many people give them credit for. Her writing was deliberate - and that makes for an artist good at her craft.
