I have always been a huge fan of the falcon and am used to its ups and downs depending on host. I love how stagger improves the efficiency of projectile powers. Unfortunately it's turning into a sort of crutch so I've been looking for another weapon. Coul never get the hang of acolyte.

therefore I was excited to receive an unexpected present from the usual RNG Trollstore! When I first tried using it like the falcon, I was underwhelmed. But when I learned to shoot at the big toe, suddenly I saw the light! A silver solo later and I took it on a vanilla soldier to try it out on gold.

i am amazed! Even at level 1, it proved to be Mookmaster 9000, master of mooks. Which meant Cerberus and geth were sent flying all over the place  With CS and frags, even my explosions had explosions! I 'm still getting the hang of the bomblet trajectory after firing a charged shot, but I think I finally found another fun gun!

however, it is distinctly lackluster when the banshees and brutes and scions show up. How do you folks who have soloed with this weapon deal with them quickly enough? PS I don't have a hurricane.

I use the Venom. Only Atlas and Crabs take a while.

Edit: I recommend you looking at this thread. It has good advice in builds with Venom.

Venom is a lot of fun. Try different ammo types on it - pretty amazing with Incendiary and cryo ammo.

On topic, the Venom is a stagger machine and an excellent ammo application weapon. Dida already gave you the thread to check for builds and different uses for the weapon, and a certain player on these forums uses it on EVERY kit in the game. It's THAT good.

yes, i tried cryo and incendiary on him, they make it more effective against bosses. just that i don't have much of those

I've seen Max Dmian's and Gaunt's threads while Google searching... thanks for highlighting them once more again though. did notice the double tap while playing but did  not find it very effective... but off host the chance of the shot hitting is rather 50-50

I'd like to know, is it better to hit a boss with the bomblets or the charged shot directly? trying to maximise its dps against bosses, here.
