Sooo i just finished my Mass Effect Triology... from 1-3 and i have just completed mass effect 3 10mins ago...

 I LOVED THE ENDING!!!

It was the best ending i have ever seen in the history of any game i have ever played

i chose the ending where shepard dies and combines synthetic and organics into one :)

it made my cry and i hate the fact shepard died it was really sad.... but i was also happy everyone lived and worked together the ending was amazing....

Why does everyone hate the ending on almost every site i go on and some even have sigs saying things like "dat ending"

i thaught it as brilliant....

One thing though.... i lived and i died with mass effect.... when mass effect 4 comes out... i wont play it.... nothing can convince or change my mind sorry....

withou shepard.... its not a mass effect.... and i couldnt play it... when shepard died.... so did mass effect for me.... in my mind there wont be another mass effect with out her.... LONG LIVE SHEPARD!!

Fair enough if you like it but personally i think it is a laughably bad trainwreck of epic proportions with a cancer at its heart called catalyst. If there weren't mods to save it i'd have uninstalled all 3 games and chucked the disks in the bin.

Or maybe people are just sick of listing the huge number of faults with the ending. Actually it would be quicker to list the elements of the ending that aren't truly awful.Search the older threads and you will find plenty of info.

OP, you're about two years too late to see the real meat of the argument. The extended cut put a lot of the complaints to rest (some were satisfied by it, others were not and gave up when it became apparent no other ending content was coming). People give up and move on in that kind of timespan. I've only stuck around the boards this long because it's fun talking to some of the people here.

I HATE it because while INTENSE detail is put into Shepard's death his survival in destroy is treated with a dismissive "ambiguity" bull**** attitude. I intensely dislike ambiguity especially at the end of a trilogy that was NOT about ambiguity at all.

I also despise Bioware's initial reaction to the baclash as it implied they believed we were too dull to.understand

Also before speaking up OP know you saw the EXTENDED CUT ending not the original one. Until you do you should be quiet.

It was not what was promised.

No Blue babies.

People interpreted the starchild as the final antagonist and instead of defeating him you have to pick from three of his choices ... which you could interpret as picking your terms of surrender.

I never got to rant about the ending ( eventhough I've read why others don't like it ) so here's a bit on why I felt it was awful

The entire thing for me felt anticlimactic. I felt like all the work I put into the course of three games was just thrown out the window. Not to mention the building up of Harbinger as a huge antagonistic character through the entirety of ME2. Then when he shows up in ME3 there's no boss fight. But you know what, I can be cool with that. What I'm not cool with is Harbinger never says a word to Shepard. You'd figure from all that boasting and raving he did throughout ME2 he'd have something to say, right...? Nope, he doesn't say one word (Well if you believe in the indoctrination theory you may think otherwise).

And on top of that Shepard is just crapped on then forgotten. S/he dies no matter what the player does. Everything leading to this ending was pointless, because no matter what you die. You either die making everyone in-turn glow green, you die then become the next catalyst ( which is a bit counterproductive if you think about it ), or you just die. The endings to me didn't feel like a reward. I would've just been happy with a full-on head to head battle with the reapers and they wipe us out. Atleast it would've felt like I was fighting to the very end.

It was the best ending i have ever seen in the history of any game i have ever played

That suggests that you either a) haven't played any other games or B) are trolling.

it made my cry and i hate the fact shepard died it was really sad.... but i was also happy everyone lived and worked together the ending was amazing....

Yes, forget about compromise and working together - space!Jesus will just throw everyone in the space blender and make us all equal, no effort required on your part.

Why does everyone hate the ending on almost every site i go on and some even have sigs saying things like "dat ending"

For various reasons those people have likely explained in great depth already - there are plenty of things objectively wrong with the ending, and unfortunately for Bioware some people have noticed.

One thing though.... i lived and i died with mass effect.... when mass effect 4 comes out... i wont play it.... nothing can convince or change my mind sorry....

Just to clarify - there is internet in the afterlife?

LOL...his opinion of our negative perception of the ending us skewed by the fact he has not experienced the original "artistic vision" LOL

Which makes his opinion uninformed and thus, LOL, while valud for him, pretty useless as a point if argument

PS: LOL
