Whiles others may dislike it, i really didn't find it all that bad. It seems alot of people wanted there to be alot more story to it but, honestly it wouldn't have felt right for Aira or Omega in general. Thats sort of not what the place was about. I mean Omega was more about the little stories, The DLC really couldn't be too story driven I mean unless we where going to go though a political campain of winning over them. Which I seriously doubt would have even needed to happen considering they made cerberus into pretty much full on badguys.
But above all else... By the time ME3 was done, I really really started to dislike the batarian to the point where I didn't care that there society had pretty much got destoryed.
Then along came Bray, he was skepitcal of Shep but didn't dislike him. And then at the end, just the email from him pretty much saved my feelings towards the Batarian people. The whole, "Know there's at least one batarian here that doesn't want you dead."
Funny how that one sentence can honestly bring a person back from not caring if a whole society.

It's as I've said before. If you like Aria and/or the combat then you are going to enjoy Omega.
Personally I don't like either of them and so I'm not a fan of the Omega DLC.

Price was way too high for what we got.

Omega falls into "You will either like it or hate it catagories" for sure
Though I think some people were more dissapointed due to believing the specualtion that lead up to the release as quiet a few people were talking about Omega possibly becoming a hub area like the Citadel was and other ideas and rumours, non were confirmed by Bioware but people still went with the speculation.
Note: I'm not fitting everyone into that thought but there weer a number that were a part of it.

Compared to Leviathan the story is weak, compared to Citadel DLC the amount of content is weak.
The impact on the main story is zero, no squadmates, no Wrex-Aria thing, no Collectors, the death scene is one big facepalm moment, even the gameplay isn't that great after all compared to Citadel DLC.
Just read the Codex about Omega and start asking why they didn't make up a better story from that.
And that all after they said Omega was the biggest/best/whatever DLC they ever made and charging over 9000 moneys for it. Yes people are dissaponted, but for a reason and BW should really know about it by now and keep it in mind for future projects.

I don't know, I think it gets underrated.
The central premise of the ME series is combat. And there is plenty of it in Omega. It is quite varied, comes in many distinct phases, and can be quite challenging at points, particularly the last segment. Both Leviathan and Citadel have 3 distinct combat segments. Leviathan's combat is no more challenging than any other reaper engagement. The final segment of Citadel can be a challenge, in part based on the fact that the boss cheats: her powers have zero cool down. But, in the end, it is just a stand up fight, whereas in Omega the final fight involves accomplishing a particular task while trying to avoid getting killed. So it does have that twist.
People say it is not story based. Perhaps, but there seems to be more mutability to the story than there is with either Citadel or Leviathan. Once you know the plot of Leviathan, then the story becomes quite dull on a second or third playthrough. Same with Citadel. With Omega the changes in Aria's behavior become quite noticeable depending on how you play it. So for a second playthrough you can have a very different experience than the first.
The sets for all three DLC are quite nice, but I do like the atmosphere of Omega, though sometimes I became frustrated by how dark it was, so dark I could not even see where to take cover at certain points. I think a lot of the cost of the Omega DLC may have gone into set design.

It is underrated. Really fun, just overpriced. Citadel is worth $15. not omega. Omega should have been 8 or 10 dollars

My favorite part of the Omega DLC was when my Shepard's eyelids were missing.
It happened right before the assault on Omega. I was wearing the Recon Hood, and had helmets switched off in conversations.

Right DLC at the wrong time. Would have fit Mass Effect 2 better, and thematically feels a bit out of place in Mass Effect 3's arc. Which I feel is what caused it to cop a lot of flack. That and it's emphasis on Omega and Aria basically require you enjoy those places/characters to get the most out of it.
Encounter/combat design wise I stand by my belief Omega is one of the better paced and structured game design arcs of everything Mass Effect 3 and its DLC has to offer. Montreal did a far better job of pacing encounters, drip feeding smaller encounters across a wider play field, over Mass Effect 3's usual empty corridor->arena battle (repeat) formula. Needs a fair bit of work in other areas, but I think it plays really rather well and is structured in a positive way. Most of the negatives people mark against I feel are more subjective things, story and themes and such, which isn't to say they're wrong but is to say I don't think it's a bad DLC.
The two big criticisms I'd direct at it would be the character death, which we all know about, and the price/hype. Biggest thing working against Omega wasn't so much the quality, in my opinion, but BioWare's hype machine making it out to be the biggest, most expansive and impressive DLC they've ever produced, and then pricing it accordingly. I do think it's great, but the bar was set way too high and the price of admission didn't really justify the content.

I loved the Omega DLC, the action was just immense and the length was very decent(4.5 hours my first time). The story was simple, but I preferred that, since I could enjoy the combat more, and boy, was the combat good. Fighting through the streets with the gorgeous Omega backdrop in view was just awesome, Bioware Montreal did an brilliant job.

Liked it to, lots of fun combat and it looked great. And Aria is a really cool character so I'm glad she got her own little story

I guess it was better than all of the other Cerberus sections of the game (exception being Horizon), which isn't saying a whole lot...

I couldn't take my squad mates so I didn't buy it. Screw Aria and Nyreen, I need Tali, Garrus and Kaidan.
