I occasionally make custom content for NwN 1 (I can't make any for NwN 2 as my current PC isn't powerful enough) and I was wondering if anyone has made something like the package I am currently promoting (via this thread) for NwN 2?

Also I know that some people have converted certain models from NwN 2 to NwN 1. Just wondered if anyone has tried it in the opposite direction? For my part I would feel immensley flattered if someone decided to try it with my pathetic NwN offerings.

Well, you've probably seen my name over in nwn1 forums, I tend to want all the critters that get made for the monthly cc contests. I also give rolo and henesua a hard time on irc :-)

rjshae has converted some nwn1 placeables into 2, and nwn2 got a pack of nwn1 creatures converted (including a rust monster, scorpion, xorn, and dracolich). I lack the skill to make my own placeables.

If you're asking specifically about the Christmas card stuff you've been making, it looks like you are doing that via placeable. If I were to do something similar in nwn2, I'd probably do it as a billboard vfx, so I didn't have to work with the placeables 2da and people could just stick the vfx in their modules to use.

As I say in the title, I'm just curious is all and I thought I'd extend the Christmas greetings to the folks on here as well without putting the images up in two different places. From your reply I take it that 2da's are more complex in NwN 2 then.

I don't know if they're more complex or not, just for the specific Christmas card thing I'd do via vfx in nwn2 as it would be easier for people to incorporate as they'd only need to drop the vfx into their module to use them, and not edit 2das which can be intimidating for newer authors.

2DAs are more than capable of intimidating experienced modders at times. Posted Image

I'm often convinced they have skill points in 'taunt' as well.
