So, many people here might have already arrived at this conclusion, but I still think I need to post this:

The Venatori, which we saw in the so-called "leaked" videos, may be soldiers from Tevinter. You only need to look at their name, which sounds a bit Latin.

I don't really remember, but they may be the ones from those images released a while back (those photos taken at the studio, which can be seen here: http://social.biowar...ndex/14623188/1)

So... thoughts?

I recall some article a while back confirming that they're a blood mage cult from Tevinter. I could be wrong, but that's what I remember. They clearly aren't fans of the Inquisition. Could be an arm of whoever the big bad is, or just a group trying to take advantage of current situation. Radical demon-worshipping blood mages might not appreciate the Inquisitor taking action to close the Fade rips.

Had another look at what I think the article was.  I made the mistake of conflating the cult with Tevinter because it was mentioned nearly in the same breath as the Venatori in the article.

During the Second Blight, the Wardens built large keeps to repel the demons in this area, and it was once a research hotbed for the Tevinter Imperium. The party has traveled here to drive out a cult known as the Venatori, which opposes the power of the Inquisition.

But it does sound very Tevinter-y doesn't it?

Yeah, I think they'll be some pro-mage group we can't side with no matter what because CRAZY. (like the Red Templars seem to be the anti-mage version)

Venatori are most likely Tevinter related given their "latinized" name.

(eg: Soporati)

Venator is Latin for "hunter". No idea if that's relevant.

The Ventaori seem to be a cult that is primarily composed of melee based soldiers that have ranks sort of like the romans and have Latin iinfluence also like Wulfam pointed out Ventaor means hunter and their ranks so far are Gladiators, Drudges who use iron and wood shields with some strong mages among their ranks like conjurers, enchanters and they might be Tevinter based but there's nothing about blood magic, or being pro mage or anything like that just yet.

All we know is they are mainly melee based and ranged with strong mages, that oppose us, and shout He will regin which is a reference to Sandals prophecy whether or not "He" is the antagonist, or someone else is another matter entirely.

Anyway the demo showed this and Ashe/ Lady Insanity covered it aswell and posted this awhile ago, and the game informer pax stuff.

The Venatori are a crazed cult that are present in various keeps. Little is known beyond their fighting skills, which are predominantly centered around physical contact and a few strong mages. In the demo, one Venatori mage screams “HE WILL REIGN”. (Speculative: The scream may be referencing the main antagonist, who was hinted in Sandal’s prophecy in DA2)

Enemy ranks listed: Drudges, Gladiators (enemies scrunched and hidden behind an iron/wooden shield).

Game informer

Venatori soldiers are patrolling the area outside the keep gates, and they don't immediately engage the Inquisitor once they spot his or her party. This allows players to quickly gear up before rushing into a combat scenario. For this fight, the player selects an enchanted longsword.

Inside the keep, a large number of cult members are waiting to repel the attack. Vivienne freezes the ground level enemies, which gives the Inquisitor a small window to run past them and strike the support beam holding up the bridge where the archers are positioned. With the beam severed, the archers are buried in a heap of rubble.

Not all these Venatori grunts are so weak. The next group of foes is led by a shielded enemy, who is invulnerable to spells, arrows, and head-on attacks. To take this guy down, Cassandra blows her war horn to keep his focus on her while the others flank his position to take him out.

The last group of enemies features a Venatori Conjuror, who immediately enchants the weapons of his legion. Vivienne creates a wall of ice to stymie their attacks, which buys them time to dispel the conjurer's spells. The player notices that most of the enemies are grouped closely together, so he uses the powerful Fire Storm spell to call down a strike from the heavens.

And in plural that is "Venatoris", so it is just a dog latin middle-stage btween the two. I doubt that they are actually hunters though.
