Also, I suggested adding a "NOT" filter.
So when a map/faction/difficulty becomes the new FBWGG...you can opt to search for everything BUT that map/faction/difficulty.

i also get sick of glacier hazard and glacier rotating for 6 or more games in a row, not counting the times when it altered between collectors and reapers the whole time.
it does this so much when i host, also pizza delivery for every objective several games in a row gets old too.
to add, no i didnt mod anything thats just random default BS that happens more often than not to be called random map/enemy.
hopefully they improve the game next time, but dont make things stupid at the same time.

When I host, it usually takes about 20 minutes before people start joining my lobby, while searching for a game takes on average 20 seconds, so I only host if my build requires it.
when I pug, I usually like to host.
when things go FUBAR b/c strangers in my lobby, the last thing I wanna deal with is lag.
but as u said, it's not always convenient to wait the usual 20 minutes or so before I can get ppl in there.
so in light of that, I like your idea as stated in the OP

You were the volus adept right? I'm pretty sure your stasis saved my life several times.

Guess it's just one more byproduct of the Mobius Effect.

I think what he's saying is that he wants unkown to search ONLY for games actually set to "unknown" in the lobby. Not all of those, plus any other preset games that happen to be short a player. Seems pretty legit.

Dunno what you're smoking when you say twenty minutes. Takes a tenth that time for my lobbies to fill.

Inviting players is a crutch.

If you want your kit to fit a particular enemy/map, start your own public game. You will have to solo until others join up, but that usually happens pretty fast. If not, and I have sometimes wound up soloing the whole mission, then you would have waited just as long for someone to join your forum.

When you go U/U, you always take the chance that your kit will not fit the enemy/map. The odds are the same whether the forum dumps you in a new game or in a game underway.

Yes, sometimes my kit will not fit the situation well. But being dumped into matches with the same enemy/map combo three times in a row? Not likely to happen if the games where set to U/U. Happens far to often with preset matches.
And no, DO NOT start a game solo and hope for others to join. I can't think of a single person on these forums mentioning that they like joining in-progress matches, and a lot of us complaining about being dumped into them. With lobbies, you can pick your character and equipment to be appropriate depending on the other players, and you can see if the other players look likely to actually be able to handle the difficulty they or on. I can't count how many times I have been dropped into a game on wave 3 with all three of the other players already dead. Not fun.

1) you don't need "PUBLIC" for Quick Match since you can't actually join anything besides public games.
2) They should allow viewing of the host's connection speed.
3) There should have been a filter for enable/disable joining GIP.
4) There should have been a Spectate feature (so you can view the GIP and join at end of wave)
5) They should add a time-out feature so if you were looking for a specific game/game setting then it would query lobbies every so often until it found you a match or group of players looking for the same match.
6) The no-noobs or no-vets filter: They should have added a "no lower than" and "no greater than" filter for N7 and Challenge pts. Not every noob like vets coming into their match and owning and, let's face it, noobs dropping in GIP or creating solo games and lobbies is a big problem.
Two non-topic issues are:
1. The lag created when drop in players. Players should only drop in between waves.
2. Saving points. At the end of objective waves, the money and Xp should be saved to your character. There are way too many failed games where players get no credit because the host disconnects, lag, other various reasons.
