The filter system is very subpar.
1) you don't need "PUBLIC" for Quick Match since you can't actually join anything besides public games.
2) They should allow viewing of the host's connection speed.
3) There should have been a filter for enable/disable joining GIP.
4) There should have been a Spectate feature (so you can view the GIP and join at end of wave)
5) They should add a time-out feature so if you were looking for a specific game/game setting then it would query lobbies every so often until it found you a match or group of players looking for the same match.
6) The no-noobs or no-vets filter: They should have added a "no lower than" and "no greater than" filter for N7 and Challenge pts. Not every noob like vets coming into their match and owning and, let's face it, noobs dropping in GIP or creating solo games and lobbies is a big problem.

Two non-topic issues are:
1. The lag created when drop in players. Players should only drop in between waves.
2. Saving points. At the end of objective waves, the money and Xp should be saved to your character. There are way too many failed games where players get no credit because the host disconnects, lag, other various reasons.

+100 agreed

Agreed on all points, though the noob/vet filter would require a rework of the N7 system, as players who promote all the time, and players who never promote could very likely be placed in the wrong category.

Another thing would be a range of unknown difficulty.  Say, I would like a game of either gold or silver level, I don't care which.  As it is, random from bronze to platinum is a rather large difference...  And maybe set it so that the default is not Unknown difficulty.  Those poor new players who get dumped into a Platinum match because they didn't realize they needed to change the search settings right off the bat.  Should be U/U/B.

It probably that some of players promote a lot because hope this will effect to the war assest point.
I prefer to see multi-ending of SP mode so I m promote many time (more than 10).But finally the result of ending was changed but not much (not much from my expect) :(
Then I never go back to SP and no promote at all.Play only MP and keep all my fav characters on level 20. ;)
