A race more advanced than everyone else in Thedas are savages?

Sound logic

The Arvaarad in Shepherding Wolves quest had a voice I wouldn't mind having for the male Qunari Inquisitor. Or any other Qunari voices I've heard as long as the Inquisitor's voice suits a Qunari.

I'd want Keith Szarabajka as an option. He has a great voice for Qunari. We see it in DA2 as the voice of Maraas.

Although the "Qunari" Inquisitor may have a voice as dull as a doorknob, I have a feeling that Iron Bull will at least sound fabulously flamboyant.

wow there not savages there alot more well rounded then the chantry

Not to mention the most technologically advanced of the four races. In truth, humans, elves, and dwarves are the 'savages' to the Qunari.

Dwarves ain't as bad as humans & elves, they haven't let magic stagnate technological progress in their society.

Just wondering if anyone can answer this for me, are we indeed getting different voices for the races?

I surely hope so.

Imagine a tiny elf boy and an enormous "Qunari" man with the same voice.

The voice would have to be terribly generic in order to fit everyone.

True. Dwarves are able to at least imitate Qunari technology, like explosives. Humans and Elves on the other hand, like you said, never really looked into technology since they had magic.

I want the male Qunari PC to be voiced by Ron Perlman doing the same tone of voice the whole damn time. It would be fantastic.

Qunari PC dialogue options:

1) No.
2) Yes.
3) I cannot say.
4) Parshaara.

Won't need much voice work.

What if some of us want to play as a stoic Qunari?

I too hope they have different voices for each race.

....and I find it disturbing that so many equate advanced society with discovering gunpowder and poison gas...

How about stoically sarcastic.

Like Sten?

All for it. We need variety and if you choose a Qun, dont expect a human voice to go with it.  Its like picking a Jamacan, Chinese,Scottish or Italian character and not expecting them to have a accent or mannor of speaking. That ludacris! OP = weird thread

I like all my PC's to be stoic unless there are options to choose what the player likes.

The monotone unemotional voices are products of being part of the Qun. I am hoping that our Qunari characters background is being raised outside of the Qun and never having been indoctrinated by it.

Even the Tal'Vashoth who eventually came to their senses are still brain damaged goods having once been a part of it.

There is a difference between disciplined and stoic. I thought the Arishok was a passionate and demanding character. Maybe he was not the brightest crayon in the box but definitely one of the more colorful ones. Even though he remained in control for the most part, he was profoundly emotional as well.

I do understand what the OP is saying. Up until now they are all the same unflappable grizzled vet. Now that the rule has been established, it is time to break it.

I want a faux-stoic Qunari who's actually a deadpan snarker. With a bit of lost-in-cultural-translation humour thrown in.

If we have a Sten type of voice for the Qunari PC I'll be satisfied. Sten sounded stoic but everything he said was laced in dead pan sarcasm and you can clearly hear amusement in his voice when talking to him about certain things. It was brilliant.

I don't think it's equated in that fashion, but the discovery of gunpowder and poison gases are technological advances. And there's generally a correlation between advanced society and technological advancements as well, so one can see why that conclusion is drawn.

The qunari Inquisitor won't be part of the Qun so he/she won't suffer from Qun arrogance and superiority complexes.

I don't see why they would give them monotone voices.
