I want to buy DAII for PC, and it appears that Steam doesn't have the game, so I have to resort to Origin. I've never used Origin, and I've heard bad things about it. I suspect that some of it is anti-EA propaganda, but I really don't know. What are your experiences with Origin?
Also, does Origin ever have DLC discounts? I absolutely loathe the idea of having to pay $30 for the story DLC when I could potentially buy the main game for $8.

Hmm.well I think there is an ultimate edition with all of the DLC in it, like there is for Fallout 3, Skyrim, etc. But I don't know where.
As for the Origin program, I have it, never use it much. But that is because it only has EA games on it for the most part.
Think of it as a Steam alternative which has a built in technical support for all EA games. Yes you can live chat with a tech support guy via Origin, that is a feature I like. The thing is the program was very much bug ridden when it first came out, combine that with the "I hate EA" madness which was rampant at the time and you get your answer as to why it has a bad reputation.

Supposedly EA is working to improve and add more features to Origins, perhaps for the new consoles, perhaps for more microtransactions.
If you want a pc version you can check out the major retailers, Amazon, Walmart, Target, ToyR us all their .coms and order it. Shouldn't be hard to find. Then you'll have to sign up to Origins to play it I guess. I only have a console version.
