They sometimes score kills alongside the usual staggering ( also for killing husks, abombs and unattended scions...true story )....anyways two HEs two drones....volsent can have the better drone

Rocket drone is nice on the Volus merc. Would never use it on the Human engineers.

I never used drone but, the turret sucks. I have it on GJ, and it died before it even fires at someone.

Do the rockets detonate, or is that the explosion evolution on drone? I generally tend to spec it for all the lightning evolutions with self destruct, and then plop it right in the middle of some enemies. It is pretty hilarious. Unfortunately when specced for rockets the drone will stay away from enemies to launch its payload at them and on anything above silver the rockets do very little damage.

Suicide drones explode and detonate tech combos if thats what you're asking

How did you build it and what difficulties are you playing? Dam/Dam/Rocket works good on bronze/silver and Det/Shock/Rock works better on higher difficulties because it consistently being destroyed.

Rocket drones failure is it often has to back away or gets stuck in a corner to line a shot. It's why you take lightning if you want a stagger drone.

Edit: The other reason Light is better than Rock is because the drone hunts down mobs. No opportunity is wasted lining the shot.

Pretty much this is accurate. If you want your drone to be a reliable detonator/aggro dump you almost can't spec into rockets. The explosive drone will detonate but that does no good when the drone is backing away from the enemies as soon as it is spawned. I roll explosive drone with shock on my Venom Engineer and would likely run that on any shotgun engineer. In any case explosive and rocket evolutions don't mix well together IMHO even though you see people suggest that.

I've grown to like rockets on QFE's turrets. But for HE I just like total electro-stun.

No can do.
I just don't like how the drone behaves when I spec into rockets. I always go for detonate-shock-chain lighting. CC Banshees by forcing them to their nova (drone has to be in their melee range) never gets old.

But seriously, all the pets are mediocre.  Rocket drone can do 1000 damage if you go all in on power damage, but honestly it isn't as good as Overload or Incinerate.  On the Volus Merc there really isn't any other choice, but on HE you can get away with 0 in drone.

It divides a spawn's attention and allows me to work on the badguys without taking as much concentrated incoming fire.  Now, if I killed stuff as fast as you do, that might not matter.  It's not a bad scrub crutch for me, though.

Yeah Explosive Drone works ok, but then it probably won't be leveled to Rocket Drone, since Rocket Drone always backs away from enemies.

Fitness and Alliance Training are both not so great, so it just depends on what you want to do.

I dunno. Incinerate and overload do that fine. Come across a large group and throw incinerate first. It's bound to hit something, or make em dodge long enough to shoot em. Follow up with overload for the FE plus more stagger, shoot things during this time period then overload for the TB. Rinse and repeat. 

I personally see it as a waste of time, but that's just me.

And b00g13man I am disappoint. You dropped into a collector giant game I was in then left and I coulda used you!!! Host migration 2x, orig group shouldn't have been in gold at all the collectors were droppin em left n right. Had to solo 1/2 last few waves ... group ran straight to LZ @ extraction.

It was bad... Be glad ya left
