Cerberus (they made the Harrier, Talon)? Alliance (Typhoon, Lancer, Crusader, Hurricane)? Collectors, Turians, Krogans, Salarian or Asari? Don't forget the Batarians and Bood Pack :)

Which do you think are the most badass small arms manufacturer in the Galaxy as a whole? :D You can choose only one faction/race.

Btw, who develped the Cobra?

Salarians make awesome pew-pew guns. Too bad that Bioware hates them.

Quarians by far.
Arc Pistol-arguably the best pistol.
Reegar-the best weapon in the game for DPS
Widow (come at me lore wh0res you know it's true, the Widow is of Quarian origin)-the best SRs were derived from the original widow.

Claymore is a human weapon. There is no proof that the Widow is quarian either, but what is known is that the Black Widow is definitely human.

All the best weapons are human in fact.

Description says it's of human design, so he is correct, it was a delicacy in our cycle

Technically the mini-facuring fabricator module in your omni-tool is the best weapon-'smith' in the galaxy, since that is how all of your new weapons are made and how your upgrades are applied. The packs would simply contain the licensed schematics on an OSD and some components.

In terms of the inventors of said weapons, its not entirely accurate to point at one species or organization since essentially it all becomes one collective building on each other's technologies:
The Alliance tries to perfect and replicate the technologies of other races.
Cerberus has access to Alliance research through espionage and agents, and the reverse is likely true
The volus do more or less the same thing, but design their versions with less quality and more potential for cheap profit.
The geth began with the technological foundations left behind by the quarians.
The asari and salarians likely cooperate closely on arms design, and the turians and krogan likely at one point benefitted greatly from uplift and/or integration into the council.

In terms of the weapons we have access to in game; since ME3 is a human centric story the overwhelming majority of weapons in game come from the Alliance or Cerberus. Which means even if the salarians (Venom), asari (Acolyte), krogan (Claymore *edit: misread description, designed by humans*), etc have a uniquely powerful weapon there is not the same pool of variety to choose from with each race, thus the comparison is going to be skewed.

I beg to differ. The original Widow is of Quarian origin, then evolved as a Geth weapon. The current version is of human design but it is based on an original Quarian weapon. Hopefully a dev comes in and clears up this attoricity, the Widow is not of Geth descent.

They are saying hi because they are trying to get attention, since none of those are really close to being the best weapons, and some are just overrated for hipster purposes.

I for one, have to agree about the Widow. It is still bad-ass and it is 300 years old.

You can beg to differ all you want.  There is no proof it is quarian, unless you want to claim that the Vindicator is quarian and not from ERCS.

In ME2 the origin was ambiguous, Legion only gets the weapon after "co-development" is approved and Shepard builds it for him (he had a Viper on Derelict Reaper).  But clearly some version of the weapon exists in council space since it is available on the Collector Cruiser, and it is already in use with sniper teams in an anti-armor / anti-Krogan role.

ME3 calls it a Geth weapon, but then again ME3 says a lot of goofy things.

The widow was present in the vision Shepard had with Legion. He makes a point of commenting on the weapon referring to it looking just like Legion's weapon, Legion doesn't correct him on that.
