Is it true that once you accept the quest - The Last Straw, the axe has fallen and one cannot complete any other quests?  Currently the quest is listed in my Main Plot, but I have not gone to the Gallows yet.  According to the Wiki blurb - "Accepting this quest makes it impossible to return to the Gallows Courtyard to complete any quest (e.g., Herbalist's Tasks). Traveling to the Gallows is a point of no return: make sure you've completed any remaining quests and prepared yourself adequately for the final events of the game."

If this is so, then I will have to do a complete restart as my last save includes the following quests -

Main Plot
The Last Straw

Companions
A Talking To
The Storm and what Came Before It
Check On Anders
Champions and Captains
The New Place
Faith

Secondary
Visit Gamlen
Mine Massacre
Finding Nathaniel
A Murder of Crows

Side Quests
Who Needs Rescuing?
The Lost Swords

I will halt the progress of my gameplay as I await an answer.

Wow. You have a lot undone. You also have companion quests for Varric, Aveline, Anders and Merrill beyond the ones mentioned here.

Yes, The Last Straw is the point of no return - the equivalent of going to Redcliffe after the Landsmeet in DAO or embarking on the suicide mission in ME2.

However, it doesn't start until you travel to the Gallows after looking at the letter you got from either Meredith or Orsino following Best Served Cold (the quest where Grace tried to kill you).

You won't be able to complete the last Herbalist's Tasks quest or The Lost Swords if you didn't buy the qunari sword that's there, but everything else can still be done.

Yah, that looks like the entire side quest list for act 3.

And yes, the wiki is right in this one, do everything before touching that letter. Note that you can do DLCs even after you've completed the main game.

The reason why there are so many quests.  I restarted my game to an earlier save.  Hopefully I can get them all done before the Last Straw.
