I really, really want the tin case, but I don't want to deal with having to keep the game in my DVD tray either. Are the two editions essentially the same, other than the fact that some of the material is in digital format?

They are the same yes. But the DDE gets a 12 track soundtrack.

I guess the question is this...is the Terminus armor and Blackstorm weapon bonus from Gamestop better than the Inferno that is offered everywhere else?
