Been playing since the beginning but never stopped to question the "stops enemy health regeneration" in Incinerate & Warp. This actually meant something in ME2 vs. Krogan and Vorcha who actually DID regen health, but I don't recall seeing any enemies regain any health in ME3. Unless they're suggesting that they prevent barrier or shield regeneration?

Maybe, but they die very easily so they are irrelevant.

I had a geth trooper in my singularity and had it down to 3 bars and watchedit gain another health bar and then lose it again. I was gonna post something about it, but after thinking about it for a bit, I assumed it might just be a bug and forgot about it. Does anyone know what caused this?

Cannibals can regen health by eating dead guys.

Phantoms can regen health, too.

So... any thoughts if Incinerate would halt barrier regen (assuming you tag the Banshee or Phantom prior to their eff-you force field going up)? Warp I could understand, but Incinerate doesn't make much sense to have that capability.

(I ask because it might make a difference in how I play a QFE solo vs. Reapers I'd like to complete someday.)

Incinerate should halt barrier regen just because of the damage over time effect, as damage in general stops barrier/shield regeneration.

Also, Phantoms can regenerate health while cloaked sometimes.

I'm just glad Cerberus Engineers only repair Atlas mechs and Cerberus turrets. I can't even begin to imagine the level of rage if they could repair Geth Primes...

Is the phantom health regen something lag related or is it working as intended. I always assumed it was because of lag, can you clarify please.

I kill phantoms too quickly to let them regen their health. If you let her regen her health you suck at this game and have much to improve to reach my level. Go practice more and then try to teach me.

Thanks, now I know the great mystery of this game that will let me become a decent player, without it there was no hope of me ever killing a phantom.

Also, sometimes, I noticed when using pull on any fraction (cannibals, husks especially clearly visible), their health goes down while they are in the air and when they land back on their feet, they regenerate some or all health taken off by pull over time. Pull effect on health is almost instant but their health coming back is not that fast, takes 2-3 seconds. Maybe, that speed is somewhat lag related.

Cannibals do regenerate. You'll notice it when you shoot them, they'll gain a little bit back but not entirely. I believe they have to eat to fully restore their health. Phantoms can regenerate their health when they go invisible while trying to restore their own Barriers, of course they can't regenerate all of their health if it's very low. Atlas and Turret regenerate Armor only if a Trollgineer is healing them.

If light can't escape a blackhole, then shouldn't the venacular be 'faster than dark'? js

Only phantoms, cannibals and husks can regenerate their health,

the cannibals and husks require the blood armor buff from either marauders, or eating in the case of cannibals, they regen constantly and will return to full health if given the time to do so,

phantoms regen health when cloaked AND in cover, and do so at a steady pace as long as they remain this way, they won't regen in the open, nor when visible, their cloak has a similar period where it has effect but has decayed visually, so they may seem to regen after cloak wears out, but they are still cloaked for a few seconds to the game engine.

The health of enemies may seem to jump up occasionally, but this is just because the visual health meter is rounded, so if they are less than half a hit point on either side of the segment the game may periodically change which segment displays,

unlike with damage, the enemies who regenerate don't display a flashing indication of their health coming back, the health meter simply adds a segment when they reach the required threshold
