Okay i am sure this has come up a million times...But..do i really need to play Multi Player so i can get the best possible endings??? or should i just keep playing or try to and hit a certain medium cap?? cuz my total military stregth is 8003..and EMS is 4853..ish...ive read a lot but most posts are 1 year old so yeah..help?

You only need 3100 EMS to get the Destroy scenario where Shep survives if you have the Extended Cut installed.

The EC fixed the EMS threshold, you can get all endings without playing MP now (I think the new cap is some 3500 EMS)

@Necanor well i wanna get all endings..gonna prob save before i get to choose so i can watch em all with my game settings...but yeah i wanna hit that..is there a bare minimum for it??

3100 if you make some right decisions, 3500 if you don't. So you're good.

Actually it's 3100 and yeah you are good but all remember

1: you CANNOT save before the ending (you can only save some half hour before that)
2: all endings are equally awful

I believe the cap is 3100 with 100% EMS, 3500 without convincing a certain someone to do something.  

At 50% EMS, it'll be 6200.

 The ending I meant is that with the highest EMS requirement, so once you've passed the 3100/3500 mark you're good to go^_^

There's an auto-save, "Citadel: The Return," created after you ride the beam up. You can load back to that to choose a different ending. After the ending you go back to the Normandy bridge prior to Chronos. DO NOT go anywhere on the galaxy map or leave the CIC at that point - it will overwrite your autosave.

I think you can actually save during the beam run itself, IIRC.

I had actual EMS over 9000 the first time I played the EC, and got the same crappy ending everyone else did at 3100.

I did a default playthrough with only the extended cut dlc installed. With no MP and dlc's I had a total of 5865 and a readiness at 50% giving me only 2932 ems. I still got the best ending(breath scene) and the other ones as well
