Sorry if every one has already seen this. I just wanted to highlight how awesome this looked.
This little beauty was released today. Interestingly, there were two taglines that went with this.

From Facebook: "The shadows will part and the skies will open wide. When he rises, everyone will see."

From Twitter: “Oh Maker, hear my cry. Guide me through the blackest nights.”

Why are Thedosians so melodramatic?

Several of the quotes that serve as taglines for these images come straight from the Chant. Hence the melodrama. :D

Seeing this concept art makes me hope for some really good weather effects.

We see some rain fall in the gameplay video, which looked nice enough, but I'm hoping they're able mix in some heavy storms as well - rain and snow. Which reminds me, I loved the dust devil effects in that desert scene. That... was very cool. It'd be fantastic if they could also scale that up to a true tornado. Something that could just wreak havoc across the landscape.

ALL the weather. Rain and thunder and maybe even snow? Does it even snow in places like Orlais?

Orlais is pretty much the same latitude as Ferelden so they should get snow.

It would kinda neat to be able to watch a storm roll in slowly from a distance. Particularly if it's something nasty like a violent sandstorm which you would then race against time to find shelter.

We might have to deal with a sandstorm in that desert map. That would be really cool. Make it a timed quest.

I just had another look at the GameInformer article (cause I remember seeing something about it... somewhere) and sure enough they talk about sandstorms inflicting damage over time and forcing you to seek shelter... It could be fun blindly stumbling around trying to find cover. And if Bioware were particularly evil, they'd disable any use of maps while you were caught in it.

And the sun begins to set as the storm begins to get worse. And you begin to hear noises out in the distance as you try to find shelter.

The reason I asked is because I thought I'd read something from one of the devs at some point and time about part of the story being in Orlais.

That would be most awesome. A cutscene of that, Inquisitor on a cliff, watching the storm roll in. YES.

Also, that brings up something else. Time restraints. Will there be such as that? Would be rather cool to have to complete some tasks in a certain amount of time. For instance, Flemth's Amulet from DA2, or finding Leandra in All That Remains. Not a sort of "kill all the things in 3 minutes" but perhaps only giving us an allotted amount of time in the game to pursue something. Would be neat.
