Hence why I was asking for clarification. Because it happened way too damn much.

Ah, well it was Grace, specifically.

Well if the player were able to call them out for being stupid, it would beg the question why they're acting on stupid motives in the first place, thus exposing the stupidity within the plotline itself. See how this would be an issue for the writers?

Grace trying to extract revenge on a Hawke that tried to help her escape the Templars made absolutely no sense.

Yeah. Though I'm sure some sort of glitch caused it. I'm hoping so anyways.

@Plantiff, that sassy Hawke comic was priceless.

No more better then templars forcing mages to undergo the Harrowing by summoning power demons to go after them. What's the difference, really?

Hold on. One group is trying to prepare mages for fending off demonic possession. The other one is using blood magic to force demons into the bodies of templars. There is a BIG difference.

This may be nasty, but I DO so love it when a mage suppoter calls out another mage supporter who's an extremist on their extremism.

Keep it up, bro.

Do you want eluvianix and I to make out too to give it that extra spice?

;) Some hot mage lovin.

We Mages not only great with with our magic, but also make great lovers :) Thats why the Templars... those mundanes get jealous of us and want to throw us all into an isolated tower.

Sandal doesn't have much of one either, and yet that doesn't stop him. Little twerk demon.

Better production quality and costuming than Dragon Age Redemption.

Anyone else found it funny how Hawke just watched Huon kill his wife for some blood ritual even though Hawke promised he'd protect her?

But, if the pride demon could possess other Mages, then no one would pass the Harrowing. So, either the Pride Demon was an abnormal occurrence or he could not possess you without you giving him the go-ahead. The latter is a test on the level of an apprentice Mage.

Too bad that I wasn't able to let him posses me. I would LOVE to have new set of powers where I can transform into a badass pride demon with badass powers

I would be like "Hey templars!"
(transform into a badass Pride demon)

"suck on this!" in a sinister voice.

Wouldn't they kill you as you're transforming?

Not sure how that works.  Possibly.  But I'd say they probably would have had more templars there if they really thought a pride demon would come through.  I'm sure they have the numbers for one in the entire tower, but mouse was obviously an anomaly that wasn't supposed to be part of the test.  The rage demon was the obvious test.  Also, mouse was trying to convince you to get possessed or have someone else possessed elsewhere because he was smart enough to know possessing you right there was a bad idea.

Still disappointed we never saw him again.

Every time I see this thread, I keep reading it as "Please let us get off on a group that is acting stupid", and wondering how you'd get them all to stand close enough together.

Why are people expecting everyone to act 100% rational and with full knowledge of everything (hindsight, player knowledge)?
Now THAT would make no sense. (excluding crazy mages everywhere, naturally)

Yes, there were people making stupid moves - but people do that in RL.
Some called Decimus stupid. Paranoid, maybe. But him attacking was not without reason.

Grace? There are poeple who will shift blame around or belive in crazy conspiracies. After all, how does Grace know that you are NOT an agent of the templars and have just been faking your support all the time?

Some people have trouble seeing things from any other perspective than the player characters.

Disregarding the apparent hate for Hawke, that was just a poor scene. Hawke and friends just stood there...watching. Really stupid.

This.

People aren't rational in the heat of the moment, nor when they've been through certain situations. They see it from their perspective which is naturally correct to them, I've had certain ideas that have been completely insane but I didn't see them as insane because they were private, they weren't questioned. But as soon as someone brought it up I realised it myself as well, so yes there should be moments where you can use reason do defuse a situation.

However, there should be moments where you can't no matter how insane their ideas are. Maybe because it's right before combat and they don't give you enough time to explain, and even if there was enough time, as said people aren't rational in the heat of the moment.

So I agree to a certain point but like with everything, it should be done with moderation.

Sorry for any grammatical errors.

So are the templars.

Well some yes but they are painted as fanatics when mages were just to appear laughing like a madman and be cartoon-villains without any goal outside "for the evil" or just insanity
